In just one ugly protest today, your fellow hamasniks behaved more badly that Tommy Robinsons' 100 000 strong crowd. 40 arrests

Oh so peaceful

Not to mention the “significant number” who breached the march conditions and attacked police.

Agree @lisalisa . DH is not Jewish but is a huge history buff and he always said that the trick with survival as a Jewish person in the 1930s was 'knowing when to leave'. That in itself is the history of Jewish people. Knowing when to pack up and go.

We had an actual plan when waiting to see if Corbyn's Labour party would win. I would pack up my DCs and I and we would move to the country where my parents currently live. DH would sort out everything here (selling the house etc) and follow on with our pets.

I ask the minimisers on this thread.... have you ever had any actual situation in your entire lives where you have very seriously had a plan to leave this country because you were that fearful? Try and imagine what that is like.

Or just tell us we are making it up like you lot always do.

Your dh is very insightful and that’s right - the trick is knowing when to leave or rather when not to stay .
some of my friends came to Britain from Iraq ( Jews so they fled and were persecuted). They used to keep hundreds of pounds under their mattress when they first moved to the uk because …. Well …. You never know when you might need to flee . I could not undertake this at all until now and used to view them as poor frightened people who’d only been here in safety for a few years and that they’d grow out of it in years to come . Now I understand .

Jews have always been wandering from country to country throughout our history . Britain has been a good home - our Rabbis call it a malchus shel chesed which basically translated as a good king kingdom .

but , all good things must come to a close for Jews and 150 years roughly of our stay in the uk will soon come to a close .

OnSecondThoughts · 02/10/2025 23:06

Blessings, peace and prosperity to Israel and all Jews. How I wish that this once great country will rise again and become completely safe for many millions of Jews to live and flourish.

ThisOldThang · 02/10/2025 23:07

I have a lot of Jewish friends. It's disgusting the way that our government has thrown them to the wolves to pacify Mr Jihad and his ilk.

Astonishingly, even Jeremy Corbin posted this today

I am horrified by the news of multiple stabbings at a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur. My thoughts are with the loved ones of the victims of this heinous antisemitic attack. We must defend a society where people of all faiths can practice their religion in safety and peace.

Hear hear Jere

Couldn't even bring himself to say a society where Jewish people can practice their faith in peace, could he?
Had to all-faiths it.

Sorry, actually so angry at at the mealy-mouthed hypocrisy of Jezza and co as if they didn't help create the conditions that led to this.

PurpleThistle7 · 02/10/2025 23:09

Just thinking about the other Jewish posters on here talking about always having a backup plan. I have spent a decent amount of time in my life thinking about that. How would I know? Would I be brave enough?

The Holocaust books I read vicariously as a teenager were filled with those moments - one sister bravely ran to America while the rest of the family stayed in Berlin. Anne Frank, etc. My family also spent a lot of time talking about what to look for and what to have in place.

What’s totally insane is that I’m actually an immigrant here in the UK - my family immigrated 20 years ago ‘from’ the states and I had been sure for years that I had found the best and safest option for us. And I’m more unsure now than ever. I don’t think going back is the answer but I am really not sure what is.

Oh we notice. But people are scared to call it out. People like nomas and Goinfor who try to silence the truth.

If you read my posts, I am asking for the truth.

There is too much hatred caused by lies, misinformation, assumptions and spin. The truth is vital.

I asked for evidence that statements made by you and others are true.

Silence.

How is the atmosphere different to this march last month?

Yes indeed.

I know alot of now adults who came to the UK on the kinder transports. I recall one of them reminiscing how when he left his mother she gave him a sandwich and said he must always carry a sandwich with him because he won't know if he can eat tomorrow. He was telling this story and we all smiled sadly and someone asked casually, in acknowledgment of a good story told; 'are you carrying one now?'. He reached into his little bag and pulled out a carefully wrapped fresh sandwich.

Unfortunately our government consider you and the rest of the population to be acceptable collateral damage for their virtue signalling over immigration and our 'highly successful' (🙄) multicultural society.

Important vote bank and politicians are always crooked and corrupt little beasts.

OnSecondThoughts · 02/10/2025 23:14

You're not alone, Jewish friends, in having thoughts of leaving the UK. The satanic blood lust of your enemy will not be satisfied with slaughtering you; we'll be next. Unless the general political and demographic direction taken by the UK over the last 30 years is halted and completely reversed very soon, we will be the ones leaving in rubber boats.

That wasn’t what was asked though, was it? If she had asked me should people have marched today, I would have said no.

Instead I was asked if they look happy, and no, I don’t think they look happy.

Why stir with misinformation. Lies to create more unrest.

News says ‘a British citizen of Syrian descent’. No mention of him being an asylum seeker at this point.

So unless you actually know him, you are stirring.

He came to this country at the age of 6 and was granted citizenship in 2006.So yes we are importing murderers or do you want to just cover that fact up.

I think it goes deeper than that.
There seems to be a very deliberate narrative being pushed that Israel is a nation of terrible people, and that what is happening in Gaza is totally unrelated to what any of the people in Gaza have done. It's as if 'ordinary Gazans' didn't cheer the dead body of Shani Louk. (Which is not to say that every Gazan supports Hamas - but a lot of them seem to.)

By these means, many people are turned against Israel, especially young people. Give it 20 years, and they'll be in positions of power. And in the short term, it makes Gaza a political cause which will put the frighteners on various politicians.

Hamas has won the propaganda war.

It absolutely blows my mind that no other conflict attracts the interest, rage, activism and energy that this one does.

Some of the worst violence on October 7th was done by ordinary Gazans. Gangs of them - men, women and children - literally lynched young people at the Nova festival. If they didn't have guns they grabbed hammers and spanners and sticks and used them to beat people to death. I do not understand the mentality of people who want us to become more like the Palestinians and less like the Israelis.

That’s so sad . I’m sorry .
my husbands father came out of the camps and died at 52 from a virulent form of dementia due to the work he’d been forced to do in the mines ( it was the dust he’d inhaled that caused it ). He was German and incarcerated as a teen . He was rescued by the Russians from
a pile of dead bodies where he’d been left for dead .
His sister was a child and was taken in a children’s aktion one day . My husband’s father came home and asked where Tova was to be told tearfully by his mother that she’d been taken ( rounded up in the city square with other children ). Never seen again .
my husbands fathers grave has next to it a little heart memorial to Tova aged 7. A flower that never got to bloom

stomachamelon · 02/10/2025 23:05

@miraxxxwhy would you choose to do that today and also assault police who have been indirectly involved with a terrorist event?
The mind boggles….

Good questions to ask. I hope all decent British people are asking these questions and more importantly, not shying away from the answer.

That’s what I think too . Isn’t there a poem that starts “ first they came for the Jews but I didn’t speak out because I’m not a Jew….”. It ends with “ then they came for me but there wasn’t anyone left to speak out for me “.

He was 35, so he was 16 when he arrived in Britain. He might have lied about his age to abuse the system, though.

NoFutureHere · 02/10/2025 23:22

I have never wanted to move to Israel but there is no future here for Jews.

This happened ten minutes away from me.

We have been increasingly unsafe for the last 2 years. I doubted myself because of all the minimising and denying and dismissing but as others have said I am also very conscious of the importance of knowing when to leave.

I truly hope I am wrong and things change but I have a metaphorical foot out of the door.
