Absolutely shocking attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Crumpsall North Manchester. My heart goes out to all those hurt and affected by this terrible atrocity.

I know that synagogues always have very good security - the one local to me is absolutely inaccessible unless you're buzzed through the gates. The perpetrator would know that there would be people coming and going, and in groups outside.

This is profoundly saddening to hear.

You don’t go and try and murder innocent people just because another country’s leader has made decisions that are nothing to do with the people in Manchester or our country for that matter!! Don’t shift the blame. The blame lies entirely with the deluded psychopath that chose to harm innocent people.

Yes you're very wrong...but I suspect not clever enough for me to bother explaining why.

TonTonMacoute · 02/10/2025 12:17

Point scoring!?

The authorities have allowed openly anti-Semitic marches to take place regularly on our streets for months and months.

It would be highly irresponsible not to have realised that this appalling attack might be the result. There is nothing political about that

Just not the time, so I'm not going to expand here.

Agreed I’ve reported it

Good. Given where we are hopefully mnhq will act.

WarriorN · 02/10/2025 12:21

Here we go. Can't you take today off with your hatred and antisemitism? What happened today does not belong on our streets in the UK.

Won't? Or can't?

VerityUnreasonble · 02/10/2025 12:22

It's close to the Jewish high school too, although that will have been closed today. Just terrifying for so many families.

So British Jews are being blamed for decisions made by a leader of another country? And that's not antisemitism?

Exactly. I knew it wouldn’t take long for such a post. Utterly appalling.

Uggbootsforever · 02/10/2025 12:24

There’s no end to the persecution of Jews, is there? This will all be swept under the rug by the Palestine crowd, who will be desperate to downplay it and treat it as a non event.

Figcherry · 02/10/2025 12:24

GoInFor · 02/10/2025 12:11

Not the time for political point scoring.

Sadly, our country is full of hatred from many sides, fuelled by the media. So much for our British Values of tolerance and respect for others beliefs.

Edited

Point scoring?

Jewish people have been openly verbally abused for almost 2 years with no consequences, this attack was sickeningly predictable.

Won’t.

Another sad day for our communities.

bookworm14 · 02/10/2025 12:25

I knew it wouldn’t take five fucking minutes for someone to blame Israel.

Uggbootsforever · 02/10/2025 12:26

@LeonMccogh So you’re very understanding of the wave of Islamophobia after 9/11, are you? Or is that special and different for some reason?
