HollowTalk I wondered that aswell. Apparently she had made two other attempts on the older child's life so why wasn't her death treated as suspicious right away and the other wee girl taken away before she had the chance to harm her too? Unbelievable how she could do this, poor little girls.

I read that she's moved 50 miles from Walsall to Hinckley so the father couldn't see the children.

This story just makes my blood run cold. Those poor babies.

It's unfortunate that no one noticed earlier. I can't believe that she came across as a 'normal' mum.

She doesn't have any MH issues.

However she does sound like a psychopath/sociopath.

Apparently she then went on to try to sell her daughter's clothes on her social media account.

Agreed that she sounds like a total psychopath. Hope she is in prison til she dies or at least her fertile years are far far behind her.

I think it's unfair jumping to conclusions about the father.

It seems she moved away. It's also likely that the children suffered earlier abuse which she may have blamed on him.

Or just refused to let him see them, incase he found out about more abuse.

I think it's quite unlikely that he knew enough to complain to SS (correctly) but just couldnt be arsed seeing them.

Whatever happened, this woman is evil.

We don't know anything about the father, she was extreme enough to kill her own children, it's certainly possible she was deliberately keeping them from the father too.

But shit for him to see negative comments about his absence when his children are dead and the public doesn't know anything at all about his background.

Seems the father was stopped from seeing the girls. The ‘mother’ moved away and gave the younger girl a different boyfriend’s surname even though the girls were full sisters.

Such a tragic tragic end for those little girls.

A rare case where I would totally support the death penalty. Horrible, depraved woman.

It says she deliberately moved around to keep the father away from the girls. And her behaviour after the deaths of the girls doesn’t exactly suggest she was a desperate woman driven to her actions because she thought misguidedly it was keeping them safe. I could see a scenario in which that was the case but it doesn’t make sense here. It would seem she was basically callous - I know there’s often more to the story than we know but there’s not a lot of people coming out to speak up for her and the text messages after the death of the first child are just unbelievable. And trying to get money out of a man to take the second one to hospital beggars belief.

Unfortunately she won’t get that bad of a time in prison, women’s prisons aren’t really that dangerous in that respect and if she does get threatened she’ll be put away from the other inmates to keep her safe. Don’t ask me how I know all of this

Diagnosis or not, I would say the capacity to carry out a crime like this, twice, is the very epitome of what it is to be mentally ill.

I can't believe what I've just read those poor girls. I can't believe one had nearly died previously too and their evil mother was able to keep them. Heartbreaking.
