EU referendum - in or out?

I used to be completely pro-Europe, but I'm now leaning firmly towards 'out' and the national mood seems to have switched that way too. So how would you vote?

Otto...
Seeing as you are worried about facism...

Simple Definition of fascism from Miriam Webster.
: a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government

if we leave we can disagree with out politicians and vote them out... we can't do anything about Europe which pretty much makes the EU a facist government.

MNET HQ could you please explain how I breached any guidelines?

I am just arguing for the EU 'in' campaign - I have read the guidelines several times, but cannot see what I am doing wrong to have my posts deleted. I have seen some posts that are really offensive and think your guidelines are excellent. You have deleted some of my other posts, and I thought someone must have been offended, but I cannot see why. This this last one only shows facts as I see them. Nothing offensive misleading or anything, I can identify. It is only this last post that prompts me to contact you.

In - but need to reform . I don't think EU laws are a real problem to us. If we want to keep trading with Europe we will have to apply them in any event. I do think there will be an economic downturn if we exit, but it will be too late then.

Think Boris and Michael Gove are doing their country a disservice with this tabloid style campaign. They are making promises they cant keep.

There are English people in Australia, Switzerland, Canada, America, Spain, South Africa.

We have lots of opportunities with staying in the EU. Why throw that away and make it difficult for people to better themselves. If we come out of the EU then the Government only has its people to get money from. Interest rates goes up tax goes up one way or another we will pay.

Scotland wants to stay in Europe what will there next plan be if we come out. You have to respect their decision as well.

Britain will still be in Europe if we leave the EU.

Out............. If you cant remove the people who (really do) govern you, you live in a dictatorship. However they dress it up with grand statements or try to scare us. Out, Out and Out again!!!

Out. Unless there is reform between now and 23/6 which seems unlikely.

If we stay in, I'm fine with that too.

The U.K. will thrive whatever happens. It's survived world wars, depression, recessions, loss of empire etc etc to remain the 5th largest economy. Whatever happens it'll be ok.

Immigration isn't an issue at all for me but in fairness I don't live in a community that's been significantly changed by it, and my own job can't ever be done on the cheap by a migrant living in a caravan with four others, so I guess it's easy for me to shrug my shoulders about it.

I've said it before but still keep on seeing people who are hoping to maintain a status quo or reform the EU.

There is no status quo, it is either accelerated ever closer union with all that entails ( EU Army, other countires joining, completing the European superstate) or leaving.

There is no middle road here. Cameron's attempts at reforming it didn't even return a sausage. They know what they want and they know how to get it, we are merely a minor inconvenience.

Oddly those partial to a renegotiation or reform always seem to be tentatively in voters. This is a misunderstanding of what the referendum is about and what our treaty obligations are should we stay in.

I think we will be shooting ourselves in the foot if we leave. David Cameron wants to remain in the EU. I do wonder why he wanted this EU referendum but what ever happens David, Boris and that other twat will be okay they have money. I don't trust any of them we are in a good position now why gamble that away.

Separate from the EU will make us weeker if we stay in it will make us stronger. My partner has conversations with the elderly people he visits when servicing their boiler. They tell him its a price worth paying for what a frightening statement to make. I fear for this country.
