Thanks for all the welcomes. Well I didn't get all the upstairs hoovered but I did get a lot of the junk from the bedroom and bathroom chucked so even stevens.

The cheese muffins sound delicious carrotsandcelery, think that might be DS's Thurs pm activity solved :)

in fly related news have cleaned front and tops of all kitchen units and white goods,wiped surfaces(made muffins.wash up bowls ets).sorted 2 of the draws...still plenty to do mind but i can see where ive bin and it has a more organised feel to it
am now going to start prep for tea whilst kids play with playmobil zoo

DH has gone to chip shop (we are cheating today) for tea.
I will try to have a tidy up while he's out as the DC have trashed the place with toys, (lego gets everywhere!).

meatballs and pasta for ds and dh - x2 each sauce for the freezer so well worth the effort, I am trying to low carb - tuna , mixed leaves, hard cheese and lemon for me. Dying for some wine and one of black's chips.

Not too bad here. Kitchen and living room ok. Dh being home is stopping me getting to my major sort outs. Will try harder tomorrow.

Managed to find some Bisquick so made Bisquick Biscuit "Dumplings" for the slow cooker chicken pot pie (see previous post from me). After a rough witching hour with DS I'm going to go try dinner (TS refused to eat his but I don't think it has anything to do with my cooking skills ). It's exhausted me but I will NOT procrastinate washing up/shining sink. I will not. (I'm trying to convince myself.....)

Today's Top Tip - Do Not - I repeat - DO NOT - attempt to cook pasta in the slow cooker. Bleurgh!

Don't know what time DH is due home so eating dinner now, watching cheesy television. I can report the slow cooker pot pie w/bisquick dumplings is fab.

When I finish eating I will wash everything I can.

Any chance you could explain how you made the dumplings Scout. I use a sort of savoury scone on my goulash sometimes but would love a better recipe.

carrots Quite simple. Mix 2 1/4 cups Bisquick mix wth 2/3 cup milk. Mix to a dough. Drop into whatever your making. Instant dumplings. On their own they probably don't have much flavor but I've soaked them in the pot pie gravy and they were lovely. Or you could use the above mix and make biscuits (bread roll type things, not cookies) in the oven and put them on top of whatever you made for dinner or eat on the side with butter. Yum.

dd2 just gone up after a cuddle and a chapter of the secret garden.gave all the splash back tiles a wipe in the kitchen when i washed the dinner thingsfirst time i did baked pears for pud and that went down well also
i dont know if its just mine but the kitchen seems to be looking much better already...i think majority of the clutter resides in cupboards rather than piles so wiping things til they shine makes thing look good even when mess is out of sight!
i will attack a cupboard tomorrow
for tonight i want to investigate whats under the sofas/down back of the cushions

RESULT MrScout has just made a positive noise regarding the kitchen/dining room progress! He hasn't asked any questions about what his crap stuff is or even what I've been doing. WAHOO!
