We're descending into complete chaos on the routine housework front.

On the plus side, I've finished buying all my Christmas presents. I just need to wrap them all and make the home-made things.

I've spent this evening changing the format of the video we took at DD1s performance yesterday so I can upload it to the album we share online with the GPs. I've also put all this months photos on the PC so they can get themselves backed up as if I leave it until after xmas it will take ages.

I wish I were better at taking photos, I get the occasional good snap, but the DDs move too quick & always come out as a blur! At least now the house is tidier I don't have stuff piled up in the background!

SNOW! It's not settling on the pavements etc

I'm rubbish at photos too, bessie, and I'm 18 months behind with uploading photos to the online thingy.

We keep forgetting to take them too - I think we have less than 10 photos of DS in the last six months. It doesn't help that the camera's on the blink either, I suppose.

Oops, should have said ' not settling on the pavements but it is on the grass / shed room, just a bit.'

Angel our routines have gone out the window too, despite running around twice as busy as normal.

Snow sounds lovely, especially if it falls but doesn't settle too much.

I am hoping the snow forecast here waits til evening as we have a special birthday party (my niece) to get to which requires a bit of a cross country drive.

I am baking for it just now so musn't forget the cakes in the oven.

I also have an appointment at the bank which is probably pointless as I always end up more confused rather than less.

How is blackkitten today BlackCat? I hope she is ok now.

I have managed to get solar lights up outside. This is the first time we have done this and I suspect I haven't done a great job. Trial and error and all that. They don't get enough light to last all night but make it to the dcs going to bed which is all I really need. I just want the house to look friendly and welcoming when we come home in the pitch black darkness.

We still have another tree to put up but I need to buy more lights for it and wait for dd to be here or she will have a fit.

Proper housework has become minimal but I am planning a big blessing next week, towards the end of the week, so it is all nice over the Christmas weekend.

Its snowing here too and is settling now!

We have to go food shopping not sure if it's safer to walk or drive
but at least the supermarket is not far away (about half a mile?).

DD is better now.

We still need to do something about saving/storing our photos somewhere safe too.

Hi all sorry I haven't been on much lately (blames dp), so how is everyone? I haven't got my tree up, house is in total chaos and I still haven't finished xmas shopping, in fact this babysteps malarky has turned into an epic fail, esp seeing as ds2 has turned three and thinks the rug needs feeding, as does the fire and ds1s box of lego (which is still disinfecting in the bath, milk, need I say more), and he has also learned how to voluntarily be sick during tantrums. Ds1 however is helping out a little bit but then feels very disheartened when ds2 comes along and undoes all his hard work. So today i am going to blitz each room one by one and tell you all how i get on with each break (after each room), and hopefully may even get the decs up by tomorrow !

Evening everyone.

I am just back from my dniece's birthday party and it was just lovely. Her friends are fab: so polite and kind and great at having fun.

I am sitting in the kitchen in my pjs looking at the chaos and cannot face doing anything about it. I am shattered and dh is not even home from work yet either - poor guy.

Tomorrow is another day.

parsnips My kitchen is in chaos as usual again. Will try to get some of it done today. It's a bit hard to fit everything in at this time of year though without feeling worn out!
I Have more Christmas shopping to do this weekend.

I slept on the sofa last night just so I could get a full nights sleep and I do feel better for it!

The snow has mostly melted from what I can see (dark outside).
It did hang around for most of yesterday and there was enough for DS and DH to make a snowman. DS enjoyed throwing snowballs at DH too.
We had what sounded like a hail storm just now so hope it doesn't get too icy out and about.

Ugh. DS woke every 45 mins from 2am onwards and would only go back to sleep when draped over my chest. He is a shrieking grumpy wreck this morning and so am I. He has a cold & snotty nose, bless him.

DH has taken him to the shops so I've a bit of a break.

I need to:
Clear up breakfast
Shower & dressed
Hoover bedroom
Change sheets
Write cards
Go & do some shopping of my own
Nap

Out to a neighbour's Christmas do this afternoon.

Morning all! I tidied the kitchen a tiny bit while my toast was in the toaster. It is a tiny start. I have decided that we all need to tidy and clean the kitchen etc before we can put the other tree up (which the dcs are desperate to do) as it would only take about half an hour if we all pitched in. Dd has riding gear and musical instruments all over the hallway etc and I think at 10 yo she should pick up after herself really. [evil santa emoticon]

angel DD2 was up all through the night too. Somehow this was much worse for DH than anyone else, even though every time I came back in our room he was snoring I hoped to catch up on some sleep this morning, but DD1 insisted that I got her dressed & then DD2 woke early from her nap so I only managed to grab 25mins

I've just fed DD2 & she's just brought up a load of her feed over me & the bed. Luckily she doesn't seem to care, but I want to just hide under the duvet & cry.

I did get the Xmas cards all written last night in between her waking & hopefully DH & DD1 have posted them for me this morning.

I'd better change the bed clothes & go put lunch on. DH needs to go out at 1245 sowe need an early lunch.

Also it seems everyone's in chaos, how about getting yourselves ready, made up and cleaned (obv not in that order) then do 15 minute bursts in each room alternating between each room after 15 mins, and having a bickie break as a reward just an idea, also xmas music really helped me through the day yeatserday, so maybe a bit of that too ?

Of course if you all want to just have a day off then do so lol.

I think I might put some music on like you say Gossip.

I have done quite well this morning. I have spent quite a while sorting/filing one of my "hot spots" so it looks a lot better now. (but not finished yet).
Have also done a small amount of washing up.

Also did a bit of fixing as DD had ripped the Argos catalogue and one of her magazines.

Just having a break at the mo.
