I have an only DS and he has just turned 5. I would have liked more but it wasn't meant to be and we are happy.

I have laid out DS's clothes and will pick mine out before bed. I think I am going a bit doolally. I almost laid out Ds's clothes for Wednesday as well for crying out loud.

Carrots what about pure fruit juice or whole milk with the snack? A carton of pineapple juice could be 100 cals. Cheese, crackers and butter could make this up to 250 cals.

Live soup sound yummy, must add fennel to shopping list. I make a squash soup with either chinese five spice or coconut milk and chilli. MUST make more soup.

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 09/01/2012 21:57

Hi all, Just checking in before bed.
It's been a very busy day here although not all of it Flying.

Today I have done:
Breakfast all
get dressed to shoes all
DS to school
Laundry on
charged up phone
filled in forms for school and nursery
"what's for dinner"
DS home from school
cooked dinner
been to bank and town
cleaned some of dining table
tried keeping DD out of mischief
sink still shiny
wash up

Not all in that ^ order.

Still need to:
wash up and hang wet washing.

scout DS is 8yr and dd is 3yr
Will probably have to catch up with y'all tomorrow although might not be on here in the morning.
bye for now.

carrotsandcelery · 09/01/2012 22:01

Thanks Egg. He has a carton of fresh orange a day. I can't give him too much or he gets an upset stomach. Blush He gets a hot chocolate with marshmallows regularly at home too.

zoo I never said thanks for the recipe. It looks great. I will also put fennel on the shopping list next time.

bessie26 · 09/01/2012 22:45

DD1 is 3.2 & DD2 is 8 months.

this evening I have

  • run & showered
  • eaten
  • packed DD1s bags to go play at Grandma's tomorrow
  • tomorrows lunch ready to go in the slow cooker (DD2 has a friend coming round for lunch Grin)
  • ordered a new car seat for DD1

finding it hard to work up the enthusiasm to do the meal plan, but DH is going to the supermarket tomorrow evening, and as we have visitors tomorrow I really do have to do it now

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 10/01/2012 07:19

Maybe we could send her a P.M.

Angel if you are reading this - we miss you!

I must go now as I have a busy morning lined up.

See you later.Smile

redlac · 10/01/2012 07:32

Morning all
Just up and don't know what I've got to do today yet cos just having my first cuppa of the day :)
I do know that my neighbours from hell are moving out thankfully and that my new Actifry is AMAZING :)
Will check back later

Eggrules · 10/01/2012 10:08

Morning Everyone.

Mr Egg is off work ill. It is really getting on my nerves lol.

Off for my second cuppa and breakie.

carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2012 10:31

I think I will try to PM Angel as I am worried now. Hopefully she is visiting someone and doesn't have internet access or she has made her dh take it away so that she can get stuff done. She has done that before. Still feel a bit uneasy about it all though.

Egg I find it really difficult to get on with jobs when others are hanging around getting in the way. I hope it is nothing serious though.

I have picked up a cold. I think it might have been the stress of the hospital that stopped me fighting it off. I went to bed early but was still away at 1.30am. V frustrating.

Anyway, I have:

Washed and dressed to boots.
Fed everyone and got them to get dressed and to school (did lunches etc last night)
Made banana and oat muffins
Put on dishwasher
Cleaned worktops
Hung out a load of washing
Put on another load of washing
Fed rabbits and guinea pigs
Sorted out stuff for the dog as he is going with a friend today (socialising as they have lots of dogs)
Dishwasher is now beeping at me to say it is finished
Checked ebay and answered a question from a potential buyer

To do:

have a look at babystep 10 and all my other routines for today
Figure out what to have to eat tonight - think just ds and me today
Pack ds's bags for after school activities and check dd's are properly packed
Ironing
Hang out next load of washing
Add some recipes to blog - will link once it is done
Probably other things that haven't occurred to me yet

liveinazoo · 10/01/2012 10:51

carrotshow do i find your blogBlushtechno dinosaur stamps feet cant find it
so far today i have;
rang to cancell appointment for tomorrow as ds is still poorly and dd threatening to be off again as ears play up againSad

am currently decluttering the tv cabinet(which unfortunately doesnt have doors and the shelves are full dvds that havent bin put away and bits paper/bills/kids things.it isnt that big but holds a lot of junk!!!hoping to get that done before go to fetch dd from nursery(in 15mins)
dressing up clothes are washed and hanging up to dry

any way will crack on and pop back lunchtime see how you are all doing.happy flyingSmile!

carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2012 10:57

Zoo it is not really a proper blog. It is a list of recipes and some meal planning really.

I have just added a new recipe roasted vegetable lasagne if anyone is looking for a change.

This is what I had on Christmas day - cooked by my dmum - and it was delicious. I haven't made it myself yet. It is a weightwatchers recipe. You need to use skimmed milk and low fat cheese for that though Grin

I will add more recipes later. I need to move about a bit now and eat something.

Eggrules · 10/01/2012 11:06

Ta Da list
Dressed
DS ready and in school
Waiting for DW to finish
Booked DS onto football course
blitzed living room/ hoovered

To do list
Today I declare my hotspot to be mantelpiece
finish clearing the hall
tidy kitchen
laundry - going to hang out instead of dryer
Clean toilet - hard water area so eek
Dinner
Make soup for lunch (frozen pea, cauli, broccoli stem etc)

Mr Egg is ill with a bad cold. He is still in bed and that isn't like him.

cairnterrier · 10/01/2012 11:08

Hi everyone

Please can I join your thread?

I had a look into Flylady techniques last year but then fell pregnant and morning sickness intervened. I am now in the magic pregnancy window of no longer feeling sick yet not so huge that I can't move - although walking upstairs leaves me short of puff.

So far:
dropped DS at CM
dressed (no shoes as can't find slippers and don't like outdoor shoes inside the house - outdoor shoes = going to work - bleurgh!)
washing folded and put away (ironing brings me out in spots)
swimming things hung out to dry
second lot of washing at machine ready to put in once drying finishes
beds all made

Still to do:
hoover stairs and upstairs
make and eat lunch
get kicked in bladder area - a lot, sigh (v exciting though Grin)
pick DS up and walk home so that he can post my letters and I can get some fresh air

hmm, think that will do for this morning. Hope everyone else is having a good day.

carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2012 11:21

Welcome cairn - you have been busy already.

If anyone wants the oatmeal and banana recipe it is here

I am having my lunch as I was feeling really peckish. The iron is heating as I type though.

I hope Mr Egg is ok. Taking to your bed suggests you feel pretty bad. Sad

zoo if it is easily done, any chance of sharing the parsnip cutlet recipe? [sheepish emoticon]

bessie26 · 10/01/2012 11:34

hello cairn! Don't forget to put your feet up! Grin When are you due?

I'm having a Brew & a break from writing a meal plan & doing a shopping liste ready for this evening.

baby step 10 - learning the power of 15mins - set your timer for 15min & put as much rubbish in the bin as you can!

Get Ready, Set, Go!!

carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2012 11:54

cheese muffins

I have done all the immediate ironing and a few bits of the backlog.

Now to hang the load in the washer and have a look at my babystep routines again.

Scout19075 · 10/01/2012 12:25

Afternoon!

Eggs I like the "Ta Da List" instead of done. I might have to steal borrow that. Wink

Carrots Ohhh, muffins! Yum! We'll be over.

My Ta Da List:
TS & I dressed to slippers (much more comfy than shoes for staying in)
Kitchen 15 minutes declutter & 27 Fling Thing (well, not 27 things for donation but the rubbish & recycling more than makes up for it)
Living Room 10 minutes declutter
TS breakfasted, snacked & lunched
TS down for a nap (though not sleeping yet)
swimming bag packed
breakfast and lunch dishes washed
dinner in slow cooker

This afternoon:
Parent & Tot swimming
Hang up swimming gear
Town: donation delivery and Boots

This evening:
Guides
washing up
bedtime routine
pack bags for Wednesday's Senior Section meeting

I'm pausing while I have my lunch.

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 10/01/2012 12:26

Hi all, and welcome cairn.

We had our first morning at nursery today. She only goes one day this week cause they start them off gradually.

I will miss her when I have to leave her there Sad but on the other hand it will give me time to do things.

I am having a lunch break now before I do any jobs.

Eggrules · 10/01/2012 12:28

Hello cairn

Soup was vair naice. Cheese muffins look amazing but I am dieting at the mo.

For my 15 mins I had a clear around the fridge and kitchen.

carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2012 12:42

I should have said that you can add torn up basil or lightly cooked onion to the muffins if you like that sort of thing. Ds likes them plain.

I have done some more ironing and parcelled up my first ebay sale of the day. Second load of washing is hung as well.

I STILL need to take a look at my lists and get going. Off to do something from it.

Thanks for the link Scout. I could make that with quorn pieces and ds would probably enjoy as he loves quorn pieces and Green Giant Grin

Scout19075 · 10/01/2012 12:47

I've never been able to find refrigerated tube biscuits over here. I'm going to try it with dumplings instead. Nom nom nom. I've not tried this receipe before so will let you know how it goes.

I think TS is still rolling around up there -- he's going to be miserable at swimming if he doesn't nap soon!

liveinazoo · 10/01/2012 13:00

afternoon all.Hallo cairn
i mght have to rummage i the hope of some ripe bananas lurking carrots ive not made muffins with oats in before and banana is ds fave thing in the whole worldGrin.usually i make a delish banana cake for him but i tend to batch bake 2 as tit vanishes so quickly but that requires 6 bananas!
i cant do these fancy links to seperate pages(techno dino snort)but i will pop back very soon and pop parsnip cutlets in here
just want clear behind t.v
intending toi put dvd on for kids so i can crack on
blacki ws devestated when dd3 started nursery 10hrs a week at the school others go..since september shes grown soo confident and cant wait for big school and lunch with the othersSad.the 2 hours shes away at the moment fly by though

carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2012 13:23

zoo it is good that she is keen to go. It would be much harder if she was reluctant. I know what you mean about being Sad though. I still feel like that when the dcs go to school, especially at the start of a term when I have got used to them being around again.

I have done my 15 mins decluttering the craft cupboard. It mostly involved moving about 4 drawing pads worth of pictures from the cupboard into the recycling (ds can fill a pad in a day). There were lots of letters in there from October time so it has clearly been longer than I think since I gave it a deep clean.

I have concocted a recipe for the slow cooker tonight as ds and I won't be home until 6ish and he will be STARVING by then (according to him).

I have chucked in pasta, a can of chick peas and a jar of Dolmio Mediteranean Veg Pasta Bake and some water. I have never cooked pasta in the slow cooker so it could go either way. If it looks reasonable I will sprinkle ds's with some grated cheese as well once it is finished. Fingers crossed it is edible.

I am off to look at my lists again then.

liveinazoo · 10/01/2012 13:29
