I did it yonks ago (origional threads Wink) , have drunk alot of tea slipped since then and really want to start it again as it really seemed to work for me :) I am going to blitz as much as I can before the 1st (tree/decs away tonight etc.) so I am starting as much as I can with a clean sheet :) Anyone a lapsed flyer (or whatever we call ourselves) or wants to be a domestic goddess (Hmm) as of the 1st? Well done on the ironing dyls - that is true dedication. Wink I hope the hoovering worked off some of the hump before Uni. Sad

Apparently I have a lovely healthy cervix! Shock

I took the dog for an hour long romp up a bit of a local hill and feel a lot better for it! Grin

Having some lunch and then will have to make tea as we are out until late tonight. Then it will be a matter of how much time is left for jobs today.

Dosey · 23/02/2011 17:47

hi everybody, just checking in for todays mission....throw away shoes, how very dare Mrs Flylady!!!! Goodness me and shok horror Shock Might have to be dp's shoes but he only has four pairs so me might not be too happy Hmm.

So far today I havent done any of the cleaning list, instead I had a day out with my girls to a museum. We all had a fab day and just had pizza hut pizzas for tea Smile.

Will do some of the jobs while dds are in the bath.

Hope the trip to the nurse was ok carrots and you had a nice treat afterwards.

Carrotsandcelery · 24/02/2011 11:22

Dosey the nurse was fine thanks, but glad it is over with for now.
Museum and Pizza sounds like a fab day out.

I did have a look at my shoes in the wardrobe but they were all still tidy from last time I tidied the wardrobe and none for throwing out so I just admired the beautiful view and moved on. Grin

Today I have been trying to tidy up the kichen/dining/family room. It is quite a job to keep on top of it just now as the dcs are going through a cutting and sticking phase so there are bits of paper everywhere! I still have 2 deep drawers to declutter in here too and the sideboard to tackle. Babysteps though...

I have hoovered, dealt with breakfast dishes and done a bit more laundry though so I have made a start.
Today's mission from Kelly

I have already done this as part of the home blessing. I have to dust it so I tidy it when I dust it. Hurrah! Another mission I was already on top of. Grin

today's daily focus

Carrotsandcelery · 24/02/2011 11:58

Time to celebrate everyone. I have finished cleaning and decluttering all my kitchen cupboards and drawers! Grin Woo hoo! etc!

dylsmum1998 · 24/02/2011 18:26

Well done on the kitchen cupboards Carrots.

Dosey museum and pizza sounds a much much more interesting day than cleaning Smile

today I have taken ds to the dentist, popped to bluewater for dc to buy things. Came home and planted seeds in my mini greenhouse.

Now about to go and do todays mission before we go to ju-jitsu. Ds is not impressed as he is not allowed to join in today- dentists orders

Carrotsandcelery · 24/02/2011 21:06

Poor ds dyls - I hope he isn't suffering. I am Envy that you live near a big shopping centre like Bluewater.

I did the ironing (again) and cleaned the sofa in the kitchen which was looking fairly ropey. It is all pristine and welcoming now though.

Where is everyone? Do you think half term has taken over their flying for now?

dylsmum1998 · 24/02/2011 21:21

Ds is fine, he is a good patient takes everything in his stride,he is just annoyed that he can't do jujitsu, he is very close to the next grading, so really needs to work hard as he has 2 more moves to learn so that he can grade.

I need to clean my sofa, maybe when we get to the living room again I might. I have tidied up the bottom of my wardrobe, not that you would notice. I do have soo many shoes that they are piled but I wrefuse to throw them out. Have also managed to do todays mission and hoover all the bedrooms.

I reckon half term has disappeared everyone. They be back next week. We are off to a wildlife park tomorrow. As dd is loving penguins, and ds loves meerkats so we off to see those.

Carrotsandcelery · 24/02/2011 21:29

My ds was pretending to be a meercat tonight after my dad said the dog looked like one when he hugged dd. They are pretty amazing creatures.
Penguins rock though - your dd has great taste!
I hope you have a fab time.

SharonGless · 24/02/2011 21:51

Woo hoo to Carrots!! Well done that is a major achievement. Hope you are celebrating with something more than just Maltesers!
Welcome back to longtalljosie. How is the back doing?Hi Curly, bessie and dyls too - catching up with your news

I have been flying just not been able to get on MN with halfterm as well. My parents are here to look after DC whilst I am working so am cooking for everyone as well as everything else. Was totally disorganised though - must do some more meal planning at the weekend.

Carrots - what is your next project for decluttering then? How is the study going?
I am not throwing any shoes out either - I have huge feet and have terrible trouble finding any shoes at all to fit. What is the next mission?

I think I might start on the garden at the weekend - it has been a gorgeous day here and got me in the mood

bessie26 · 24/02/2011 23:23

Hi everyone, #2 has been keeping me busy this week with scans & tests & injections (DD came early so they're keeping a close eye on this one) and have been at work and went out for a meal last night so haven't done much apart from shine the sink!
Will have to read all the missions etc tomorrow & work out my plan of attack then, but I won't be throwing any more shoes out! I had to get rid of alot when I sorted my wardrobe out last month as I had NO space left & I found that very difficult! (I have wide feet & low arches & really struggle to find nice shoes that fit)

Must goto bed now (BIG fail on that one tonight) will try to catch up properly tomorrow

Carrotsandcelery · 25/02/2011 11:36

bessie tell that bump to stay where it is until it is good and ready.
Sharon I can't progress the study at the moment as dh is filing about 5 years of paperwork and has it spread out in little piles all over the floor. I still have the sideboard in the kitchen to tackle so that will keep me busy for a day or two.
Is anyone else still decluttering? Where are you delving into if you are?
Friday's mission

Friday's daily focus

I am off to do the car as it is very muddy this week so the car is vile and we have a long road trip on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.(And the sun is shining so I am going to grab my opportunity)

What are the rest of you up to?

[[

Longtalljosie · 25/02/2011 11:42

Well done on the kitchen cupboards Carrots - you'll be like this Grin every time you open them now!

Thanks Sharon. I'm at my mum and dad's because I still can't lift DD and as a fairly hefty 18 month old (98th for height and 99.6th for weight) when she decides she's going in one direction it's pretty difficult to stop her without a bit of lifting! Back home today for the weekend. I'm braving work on Monday but feeling a bit nervous about it.

So as far as the house goes, nothing doing, but as our bedroom has just been repainted and recarpeted it doesn't really mean it. That said - my handbag looks a bit like a lucky dip and that's here, so off I go...!

Carrotsandcelery · 25/02/2011 12:04

I'm glad you have some support Long - my friend was left for alone with a bad back for weeks, with 2 kids, one just 6 months old, as her husband was offshore. It was a total nightmare for her. I live a long haul flight away so I couldn't help her much. You don't appreciate how much bending and lifting you do when your dcs are young.

Car is done! It doesn't take much when you do it once a week. Roughly hoovered and febreezed as well. I have left the doors open to let it air and dry out so I hope it is still there when I go back out. Hmm

Now for the handbag. I am hoping to find the voucher we bought for MIL birthday Shock

SharonGless · 25/02/2011 17:40

Hi due to half term I haven't done much at all apart from take DC to see Tangled. Best Disney film I have seen for ages. I even cried in one bit!
Back to routines next week although have been doing the minimum and done car and handbag today.

Am planning on decluttering kitchen drawers next and the freezer next week. Using up food and then can defrost freezer

dylsmum1998 · 25/02/2011 18:39

evening all. Just had dinner after our day out.

I did todays mission last night. also did the car and my handbag earlier in the week, loking for my student id card which I still can't find Hmm

Sharon we love tangled too.

Longtall hope the back is better soon, sounds very hard.

We have had a fab day out Grin. We all really enjoyed this wildlife park, we will be going back again for sure.

Just have the bathroom left to clean

dylsmum1998 · 26/02/2011 11:16

Morning all, hope you are al out having fun today Smile

Its raining here so thinking perhaps we won't picnic in the woods.

I really need to get on and do some housework today but feeling so tired. Have hoovered and folded washing thats it.

I managed to get a full refund for the material I bought off ebay in the week, and my postage costs. However had a nasty email back off the seller becuase I left negative feedback Hmm.

going to check emails, then must clean the downstairs bathrrom before I take ds to his swimming lesson

BBL

Dosey · 26/02/2011 11:39

morning dylsmum, glad you got your refund. We are having a fairly lazy morning. My two don't have swimming this morning because of the half term. So I have managed to do my hour blessing and scoff a load of galaxy. We do have dancing this afternoon though after that dc are staying at grandparents for the night so I will finish off this weeks cleaning list. DP and me will be getting a take away tonight so I had better stop eating all the chocolate in the house!!!

The sun is out here so will send some your way.

Have a good weekend

dylsmum1998 · 26/02/2011 23:04

Dosey hope you enjoy your peaceful evening.

We plodded around this afternoon, popped to the shops for a few bits but thats all. Got some bargain school summer dresses in Matalan for dd- £2 each. Have spent the evening watching tv and sewing. DD looked so confused by lets dance for comic relief, she really couldn't work it out Grin

swanriver · 27/02/2011 00:16

Dylsmum - just to say hi, and missing you on the other communal thread, although you seem very happy here! (all fly threads are lovely) Just noticed you were doing lots of sewing like me, and wanted to say hi Grin [scuttles back to other thread, hoping to not offend anyone by being in wrong place]

bessie26 · 27/02/2011 21:03

sewing? what fresh hell is this? Wink - DD has grown out of her PJs, but the next size up is too big, so I'm going to have to do some soon

#2 has been given a stern talking too & told to stay where it is for at least another month!

glad you've all had nice half term hols - I've been absolutely knackered so haven't done much more than the bare minimum I put a carrier bag in my car last friday to put all the rubbish in, but didn't actually have much - so I left it there all week & have just been chucking my sweet wrappers car park tickets straight in there, is that cheating? Blush

The sun was out here today, so DD & I went to the park this morning leaving DH to do the decorating!

long hope your back is ok for work tomorrow. Remember to take it easy!

Carrotsandcelery · 27/02/2011 21:12

bessie I think the carrier bag idea sounds like perfect Flyladying. I cleaned the car on Friday, hoovered and everything, and now it is disgusting again as we did a long road trip yesterday and again today in it. At least it started out fresh.
I have done nothing else as I haven't been here and it shows.

A friend is coming with her little dd tomorrow so the home blessing may take longer than an hour tomorrow.

For now I am sitting down with a cup of tea and some chocolate.

SharonGless · 27/02/2011 21:22

DH has helped me today to tidy up after the half term hols. No decluttering at all and don't feel have achieved much other than keep DC happy which is priceless of course!

Back on track this week. Can't believe we will need a new thread soon.
Bollocks to sewing am afraid - can't join in with that. My sewing tends to look like a spider on speed lol

Carrotsandcelery · 28/02/2011 12:14

I have to sew costumes this week for World Book Day. Why do schools not give a bit more warning?? [sobs]
I have been trying to do a heap of jobs at high speed today in readiness for a friend coming this afternoon. Normally it wouldn't be an issue anymore but having been away all weekend I had a backlog of jobs to get through.
Just got the hoovering to do now though and I think it will all be fine. Before this thread it would have taken days to get ready for a visit like this. Thank You everyone - you have helped me to make such a difference to my life! Grin

Today is Home Blessing day if it fits with your schedule.

This is our mission for today

The detailed cleaning list for this week is zone 5

bessie26 · 28/02/2011 12:41

Shampoo carpet?!

Carrotsandcelery · 28/02/2011 13:15
