Hi

OP posts:
scattyspice · 09/11/2010 18:32

Freezing horizontal rain/hail at 3.15 again Angry.

DD already v excited about christmas, she bypassed all the glittery/sparkly/fairy book at the book fair and chose a book about the nativity Hmm.

To do
get organised for a crazy day of appointments/errands/events tomorrow.

OverflowingMum · 09/11/2010 20:14

evening all

swan porr DS, hope his improved mood continues though.

wendy hope you fitted int the rest!

scatty you've reminded me I have to brave the book fair tomorrow morning!

well, busy day here. Had arranged to leave work 1 hour early as had meeting at school for dd3. So of course this morning at work multiple disasters seemed to be unfolding simultaneously and conspiring to prevent me from leaving Hmm but I stuck to my guns and did as much as I could and left on time Grin

Meeting at school for DD3 proved much more useful then last one, with staff being generally helpful and supportive, and saying they felt I had a good case for getting a statement for dd. Also have found out Autism Outreah team are now going in every other monday for an hour of 1:1 support for her... its not much but its a start!

I'm still working on making the after school times nicer/more fun/less stressful/more productive etc... But did have slightly less stressful time this evening by just playing with DC and ignoring house stuff or dinner...until DH got in... did mean dinner was later than usual, but am begining to think dinner/bedtimes may need to be re-adjusted to slightly later....

Also managed a short run of just under 3 miles...was a bit cold and blowy though...am off to the gym again tomorrow night as at least it's warm and dry in there!Seem to have totally stopped loosing weight though despite eating less and excercising more Confused

have mad couple of weekends coming up...DD bday wk/end this weekend (cue sleepover and meal out with 13 giggly girls Shock, then following weekend is DS1 confirmation...so much to organise for both, but trying not to panic...

SO... a list:

Tomorrow to do:
S&S bathroom
reboot laundry
encourage dc to do quick pre-school tidy of rooms
Go to school early for book fair(with money!)
Work....long day till 6 ish Sad
Buy butter (for baking)and few other bits(hopefully in usually non existent lunch break!)
Post info for dd3 to lea

Home
be pleasent and non-grumpy with DC
gym and swimming
make bday cake
reboot laundry

TO do for dd bday
Make cake
decorate cake
go in loft to dig out pretty cellophane bags( in xmas baking box!)
make up creative party bags with above mentioned bags

oh...need to stop thinking about all I have to do now.

BBtomorrowGrin

swanriver · 09/11/2010 23:06

OFM maybe you are now perfect weight for new improved you! I've stalled too, I honestly don't think I can get the last 8lbs off unless I become 20 again Hmmor survive on diet of cabbage and mineral water

Grin on knowing what is in the Xmas baking box, I am always suprised at what I find in the loft

Hairy evening with v.jealous supersensitive dd. And ds2 not on good form either Hmm
Ds1 looking forward to tomorrow as his dad will take a day off to be with him.

House in quite good shape, sheets changed etc, washing put away for once, floors mopped.

What op is dd possibly having TPThief Have to say so far v. impressed by NHS (Irish and English), famous last words, hope ds doesn't come down with infection or something awful.

swanriver · 09/11/2010 23:07

fun I am in London, no time for fun here! Too many shops Hmm

scattyspice · 10/11/2010 08:07

Morning all Smile.

swan hope you get chance to catch up today if dh is off with ds.

OFM glad school have started to take an interest in dd, hopefully once the wheels are in motion she shouid continue to get help throughout school.

Hi everyone else.

Have a day off work today Grin, but lots of things on so:

Today:
DC to school
post office to pick up DH motorbike parts
buy veg
collect dd from school and take to Growth clinic
ds to friends after school
meet ds at beavers (funraising eve)
take dd to rainbows
collect dc
watch Wallace and Gromit.

But first I need to persuade DD to wee in apot Hmm.

swanriver · 10/11/2010 09:27

Well this morning started with an argument about custard creams! Dh decided I had eaten them. I had hidden them..but didn't quite remember where...(turned out to be in medicine cabinet)Of all the things to fuss about Angry

Loving the motorbike parts Scatty hope your day goes smoothly. Evening stuff is so tiring. Have ditched Beavers this eve, but ds2 is still going.

Today looks like
todo
big Xmas shop at Morrisons, look out for presents for teachers food/wine, storage boxes for freezer
buy ds some music from HMV if not at Morrisons
recycling mountain
bins
get ahead with cooking - ham mushroom leek lasagne, tortilla filling, xmas cake [!) cake for cake sale on Friday, shortbread

swanriver · 10/11/2010 09:31

10 mins of recycling - I keep putting it off
bbl!

swanriver · 10/11/2010 10:05

recycling done

funtimewincies · 10/11/2010 10:31

Morning all. Today is ds1's day with his Grandparents (after morning nursery) so ds2 and I are having a fairly peaceful time.

Today I shall mostly be...
Popping to Boots done
Cleaning downstairs loo
Giving the kitchen a quick once over
Sticking photos in ds1's homework home-school book
Putting my feet up for a change while ds2 has his sleep (usually playdough/paint/playing with ds2 at this point)

wendyhappysmile · 10/11/2010 10:59

fun have a nice day with ds2 and get a nice rest
swan LOL at custard creams. Lots of baking and cooking today!!
scatty LOL at weeing in a pot!!!

hello all
Still here, seem to getting slower and slower, but guess that's a good thing. I am hoping I can keep slow after the birth if you know what I mean - not plunge back into manic modern life but be slow and enjoy my new baby - it's the last so I don't want a six month blur like last time. With DD I was back at toddler groups and activities when she was 2 weeks old with DS, and always on the go. This time I am going to try and offload the other children onto grandparents even if just for a few weeks, and do as little as I can!

Off to potter and vacuum the rug. Smile

OP posts:
funtimewincies · 10/11/2010 12:04

Right, photos are stuck in. Ds2 fell asleep in his highchair, poor thing (he's been waking in the night) so now that he's down for a sleep my fish-finger sandwich is calling Blush.

Wendy - I don't know when your other dc were born but winter babies are fab (both mine were born in December) as you've got a marvellous excuse to curl up in the warm. OK, so the others get a bit fractious, but I found CBeebies much less irritating in a sleep deprived haze Grin. Now stop pottering and put your feet up .

swanriver · 10/11/2010 13:00

Angry have now had a row with dh about the grocery shopping.
Anyway half of it is done that man has some very half-baked ideas Wink
going back again to do other half (trolley was too full to continue Shock

Wendy just to confuse you, I quite liked the out and about bit with a second baby, just not getting hung up on ironing meals etc...it was more fun with two/three. Okay, hell sometimes, but quite exciting and more sociable.

evening all

wendy I made a real effort to take some slow snuggly new baby time with my last 2, had found the first couple of months quite a blur with dd3 trying to keep up with taking other dc here there and everywhere and always sort of regret I didnt take it slower...so made real effort with my next 2 (well as much as you can with 6 DC and no family nearby LOL) but have nice memories of nice snuggly times....

swan LOL at custard creams...hope disagreements over shopping have been resolved

scatty hope you had a good (if busy ) day off

have had mad crazy day at work..again...sigh!
Seem to be lurching from one tricky situation to the next this week, but that is just the nature of the job....

On the positive side did manage to sprint across to sainsburys during 5 min lunch break and got butter for baking

unpacked delivery of new clothes for dd3 and 4 from tesco...much excitement and good moods from littles LOL and also contained new shoes for dd1 for bday outfit, which thankfully fit so al good Grin

littlies to bed

dh took dd2 to cubs

baked top 2 tiers of dd bday cake

now sipping glass of half price baileys...and chilling...early night needed I think!

tomorrow

6DC up, breakfast
reboot laundry
S&S bathrooms
dc to school
work
POST FORMS FOR DD3 - must not forget

home

OverflowingMum · 10/11/2010 20:31

oh...forgot, it seems that MIL is now coming to DS1 confirmation next weekend...so we will have her staying for a couple of days...lovely that she is coming, but bit nervous after disasterous visit last time...Hmm still at least SIL isn't coming...Hmm will need to house blitz next week...sigh...

scattyspice · 11/11/2010 08:11

Morning Smile.

OFM Overnight guests are always a drain, even if they are lovely. Its the end of the day/1st thing in the morning effort to be pleasent that I struggle with Blush. Glad Dc liked their clothes (new clothes always a winner here Smile).

prof plastic surgery on scalp sounds scary! Hope you can sort something out.

swan Dh and I argued about cheese last night Blush. It was quite funny in the end because ds kept saying 'don't mention cheese' at random intervals LOL

funtime DD used to fall asleep in her highchair too (face first in her dinner LOL). Hope you had a bit of a breather.

wendy I too wish I'd snuggled more with my new babies. DD just seemed to be tucked under my arm while I carried on as normal Sad.

Spent yesterday morning rearranging furniture Hmm and tooing and froing to TKmaxx (at the top of my street) buying small tables (I bought the small one, then went back for the medium one, now I think the large one would be useful too Hmm). None of this was in the plan.

Right where are those kids?

swanriver · 11/11/2010 09:03

Today has been brighter Smile
ds1 is doing braintraining on his nintds, the kids were up like larks and ready for school (Poppy Assembly)
Dh gone back to work [sigh of relief]

Scatty I do love re-arranging furniture, like having a new house LOL. You must be v strong to carry all those tables Smile Dh's bedside table is part of our highchair Shock
TPF Will it get worse if not done now?
OFM you sound in excellent form Grin and queen of cocktail hour!

wendyhappysmile · 11/11/2010 09:21

Hi all
swan LOL at a highchair for a bedside table - but if it works!!!
scatty I did some furniture rearranging this week - not sure if I like it yet!
funtime all my babies are November!! All same due date LOL
Well been awake on and off all night with false labour - it's never got any worse and isn't regular so I'm assuming it's false labour - still there though. Shattered now!

To do

Cook tea (in progress)
midwife
rest!
speak to surgery about preschool jabs for DD
collect DD from nursery/school run
darks washing
tidy up

BBL

Morning all
Wendy Try and keep us posted! Of course we are the first people you have to tellGrin
Right no time to chat today! Going to have a make-over by a personal shopper Shock It's for charity how lucky am I! PTA person has started a personal shopping business and I'm one of her Guinea Pigs. I won't be able to pay for her service so i have jumped at the chance!
The house is a tip but I have managed to buy Christmas stamps! Bit of a swizz if you ask me as they are so small!
have a good day very rainy and yukky here. Friend coming over from Canada in December Yippe!

funtimewincies · 11/11/2010 09:57

Swan - it's funny how that works out, isn't it? I had 3 mcs between my two ds' but they were both an hour and a half (and 3 years) apart Smile.

Prof - Sorry to hear that your dd will have to have surgery.

Well, yesterday ds2 learnt to crawl and my life has turned upside down. Ds1 didn't crawl at all so it's a real eye-opener. Nothing is safe and he is already especially interested in the top of the stairs and the wireless internet connector [shocked].

wendyhappysmile · 11/11/2010 10:27

funtime that was me with the babies on same due date! - but DS and DD are three weeks apart due to DS being early!! have fun with the crawling! exciting times

funtime aaaggghh crawling, yes indeed just the warmup to the nightmare years that some call toddlerhood LOL

scattyspice · 11/11/2010 20:28
