Flying in rainy November 7/11/10

Hi

Morning all

It has been snowing heavy again this morning. House across streets guttering has been pulled down with it. Having amajor stress trying to get DH backfrom Coventry this evening. Buses have been suspended again and M1 has major accidents.

Have run out of milk and bread - No chance of getting to shop as DD can't stand up in snow its too deep where we live. I think she'd be alright if we got to the main road. May see if I have ingredients to make any bread in bread maker.

Also run out of washing powder - wish DH was here then I could venture to shops on my own without DH in tow.

Today is uni work day - trying to get ahead as just foundout I have a week of school placement that I now need to make up cos of snow and 3 essays to write at same time.

MC have you got a sledge? I pulled dd to the shop on ours as the snow is too deep for her to walk. however they had run out when i got there.

Hope dh gets home ok. I am going to have to make up school placement days as well when the snow has gone. I should probably use this time constructively but have absolutely no motivation

Hi all I better get to the shops! Been out all morning with DS in the park or in a coffee shop with hot chocolate. Bumped into his school friends and he is now having lunch with them. The plan is that I then pick up another kid (not far). Her Mum has just had twins! Take that kid to the other house, pick mine up and take him to another house for a playdate arranged ages ago. So don't have a chance to get DS to do any Christmas cards, decs or any form of education. Hey your only young once. So now I'm child free.

Make beds
clean bathroom
hoover upstairs
Shops for bread milk etc with trolley
That's enough as plans can change out of the blue in this weather!

Bum have just burnt homemade lentil soup while on here!
Add to list Clean pot and get rid of smell!

dyls I am seriously lackin in motivation too!

nutty sounds a complicated arrangement, but like it should be fun! Park and hot chocolate in cafe sounds fab too!!

Must say I am tiring of the snow....
only so much sledging and snowman building you can do really!

Dc now let loose with sparkly paints and Christmas decorations kits....
DS2 safely napping...long may that last!

Am about to brave the depths of snow to try and take dog for a walk...if she can stand up in it!

would quite like to return to normal routines now....please...

Yay. I get to go to party. Neighbour stepped in to babysit, and we're going with (slightly) reduced numbers.

OK Have 1/2 cleaned the path - Couldn't get any further before it started to snow again.We do have a sledge but its hung on a high hook in the garage and I can't reach. Made it to shops anyway. had to walk on usually busy main road,dodging any cars brave enough. Got some bread after found out some had just been cooked (fresh and warm-yum) then just as i was paying was an announcement that milk had just been delivered so went back in and got that too and ingredients in case need to make bread after eaten the fresh bread (as I can't resist).

Got some tidying done and some washing - not heard from DH though.

Off to get a cuppa and a mince pie before I get some uni work done

irregular contractions all day also had a show. Hospital not interested (as they only had one bed!)

Please be soon! Midwife appt this morning was cancelled but wasn't offered an alternative til next Thursday, then when I phoned elsewhere offered the wrong medical centre (good job I checked). Drop in tomorrow to go to for sweep, but will they give me a sweep if I've already had a show?!

Just would like some clarity!

wendy ohhhh it won't be long now! Not sure about the sweep - have had one twice myslef, but never after a show...once it seemed to work, once did absolutely nothing, ut guessing if you are so nearly there it may do the trick of getting things regular...although may well find you won't need it...fingers crossed!

Feeling frustrated...why is it so impossible to have a conversation with DH about anything important....grrrr he has spent all day working out figures and budgets and came up with the exact same figures I gave him days ago....and still wont make a decision about getting a nanny!! I give up!!!!!
Am desperately resisting wine...but may not last long....
