funtimewincies · 25/11/2010 16:02

Hello and hoping that Wendy has had her baby.

I'm really out of date with the news Blush and life is fairly dull at this end (in a good way Grin).

I'm keeping on top of the mess and making headway with the Christmas list (only one more pressie to get).

Today's jobs...
School run and back done
Toddler group with ds2 done
Washing done
Kitchen wiped and dishwasher on and emptied again done
Paper pile in lounge done
Make tea
Allotment AGM

Nuttybear · 25/11/2010 16:30

swanriver · 25/11/2010 17:43

oh Nutty I think I needed your Maths workshop too. Trying to explain percentages and patterns in timetables has been a trial.

swanriver · 25/11/2010 17:44

fun glad life is dull in a good way Grin

SatinShoes · 25/11/2010 19:34

I think I saw you on poncetastic Xmas thread stealing profiteroles pomanders...
no such nonsense here I'm glad to say

Babysitter was sensible and firm
We had a nice eve out at Brother's house.
Have re-booked teen babysitter as she is much better at putting kids to bed than us! For another party on 9th.

Dh has taken children to school. I am still in nightie, now will attempt to do some extra-curricular stuff like
PTA and online ordering!
no housework Angry avoids slough of despond

Nuttybear · 26/11/2010 09:55

Morning ALL
Poncey & Swan I have just played I spy with my DS. Do I have to play another guessing game Sad I have a brain ache after Maths workshop ConfusedSad Can't do anything anymore as the maths muscle is as flabby as my thighs. H/W v v stressful.
PMT mood lifted and had a sensible conversation with DH about helping Ds with his Maths and reading etc.... Do you think DH's get phantom PMT's because they live with us! just like women who live in the some develop the same periods? Hmm
Okay are you profiteroles or JAS Or Powerofgreyskulls or.... no that's enough.
OFM Hope you feel better soon. TG for modern medicine.
Had a fab time at the School Christmas shopping evening. At one point I had two hairdressers do my hair and another girl do my make-up at the same time I felt like a real model except it is a scuffy cold church! Friends came down from Croydon which was lovely and we went for a drink afterwards.
Today has been a mess. I told Ds to get dressed in his uniform and it wasn't until we were going out the door he remembered it was mufti day (if I wasn't out late I would have laid out clothes night before.
had to turn back 1/4 of the way out to grab ticket allocation request for school play !!! I must have a coffee with sugar and try and be on the ball.
Back in a mo with coffee Smile

Nuttybear · 26/11/2010 10:05

swanriver · 26/11/2010 10:09

Nutty PMT rules our house too, dh says I am depressed half the month, ill a quarter, and possibly in a good mood for two or three days Wink I don't think it is PMT I think it is entirely his fault Wink for having hangovers.

Nuttybear · 26/11/2010 10:27

Swan LOL We have to meet up after Christmas and have a giggle.

OverflowingMum · 26/11/2010 10:51

morning all

wnedy has been awol for many days...must be snuggling baby by now!!

enjoying day off
Migraine lingering but much improved...woke up feeling sort of floaty and happy thoughHmm obviously lingering effect of last nights codeine!!

So far have:
dropped dc at school
laundry X1
minimal tidy lounge
quick tidy kitchen
been for lovely walk in bright crisp frosty sunshine with ds2 and dog Grin
now sitting mning whist trying to persuade ds to poo on potty(LOL) as he seems to prefer his pants for poos!Hmm

then going to have cuppa
planning minimal housework, and more playing with ds/general chilling as I feel in need of rest!
Am getting a new vacuum cleaner delivered today though, so may be inspired to do a bit of hoovering...maybe...

BBL Grin

OverflowingMum · 26/11/2010 10:54

success...we have a poo in the potty LOL LOL

swanriver · 26/11/2010 11:02

done
lots of whizzing round sort of tidying Smile

thinking some more about PMT etc. Reasons to be angry and depressed are valid. Blaming them on hormones is a cheap trick. Considering we ARE our hormones. Perhaps when I am in a cheery mood that's just as delusional as the PMT mood ifysim...Confused Things are what they are, not just what they seem. Could quote Hamlet if you like.

I did once look on Mumsnet for advice on this matter Shock and found taking those mumbo jumbo starflower/vitamin B6/oil of evening whatsit did work, just got out of habit of taking them, preferred getting in a righteous rage.

wrapping!

swanriver · 26/11/2010 11:04

there you are LOL! happiness cannot be easily measured.
I do love codeine Grin

OverflowingMum · 26/11/2010 12:40

OK...
good: new hoover arrived and tis fab
bad: accidentally hoovered up power cord for dh laptop which is now knackered....Hmm

off for another cuppa....should obviously have just avoided all housework totally...

swan yes codeine is fab LOL although I do still feel a bit "odd" Hmm

OverflowingMum · 26/11/2010 12:42

nutty you have reminded me I have NO idea where our Christmas tree stand is....must add to list of essential Christmas tasks Hmm

swanriver · 26/11/2010 13:03

still wrapping! and can still find sellotape!

Nuttybear · 26/11/2010 13:19

OFM I know where it is I just think I can get to it. Glad the migraine has subsided but has left symptoms i.e hoovering accident. Did that with a new Flymo cut the new cord in half. GT the old one was just as good!
Swan Wrapping for Christmas or birthdays?
Only real job done
Food Shopping done PUt away Done Table tops sort of tidy!
Now to start the chilli for church!

OverflowingMum · 26/11/2010 13:21

swan LOL sellotape is like gold dust in this house Hmm have resorted to taking 2 rolls to work to hide in my office drawer to bring home again when I finally get round to wrapping...whenever that may be HmmAt least that way I know DD1 cant "borrow" them for her craft activities for them never to be seen again!
