Definitely has brothel vibes. I think if you like lava lamps then fine but I would prefer them on the sideboard etc rather than ok the wall and not so many of them in one place

Haha I'd think it was bonkers but also kind of love it. I had a lava lamp as a student in the early 00s and thought it was the absolute shizz.

I'd also be disappointed if the whole house was not lit the same way.

I think I’m going to do it. I know lots of people think they look a bit rubbish but they’re clearly quite polarising and I guess no one’s interior design tastes will suit everyone! If anyone watched ‘my parents are aliens’ about 20 years ago, their house interior is kind of my dream 😅

Also I do hear the comments that I might get bored of them and they’re impractical. So yeah, still mulling it over.

I’d think teens or students lived there. If you love it you should have it regardless. Life is tough enough without depriving yourself of something that is something simple that would make you happy in case others didn’t like it . If you were selling the house I’d say maybe not but otherwise absolutely do it

I really dislike it but many (most) people would probably dislike my house (and garden) so i'd say of you love it, go for it.

I love a lava lamp and I’ve never seen them used in this way. I like it, if I walked into a house and saw them like that I would just think the owner had quirky taste, but in a good way!

It looks like to entrance to a back street massage parlour. Not that I've ever been in one... Just what I'd imagine.

Just to add to my reply - my only concern would be how hot they can get - I wouldn’t want somebody to slip and hit their face on one. So I think I would carefully consider the height they are placed at or make sure there is furniture at waist level to minimise the risk of someone touching them.
