London. I live there. Tourists are ripped off, honestly.

Get vouchers where you can before visiting London, it's obscene.

My mum warned me not to have lunch in St Mark's square in Venice. Those places are eye-wateringly expensive. We found a stand up cafe and ate a pizza and had a bottle of coke for £5 each. Not luxury, but did the job.

😳😳😳 that's shocking !

And a little wary of my September holiday now having seen so many people saying Croatia. We've been twice to Porec many years ago and it was really cheap, especially the first time in the late 90s. We will be staying in a villa just outside Dubrovnik so imagine that will be £££ to eat out everywhere? I've heard that transport ie buses and Ubers is cheap though .

The further from Dubrovnik the more normal the prices.

Cuba & weirdly Carmarthenshire.
Both beautiful though.

San Francisco last year. We went years ago and it seemed cheap compared to the UK. How times change!

The US is expensive, everywhere. Mix of change in exchange rate and general CoL and price increases. We have friends with family there and DH has lots of work acquaintances and has at least 3-4 business trips to the US each year.

Everyone is complaining and it's not just the typical tourist prices but utiliites and food in general.

places like Butlins Haven etc seem good when you see the ads but they are far from inclusive; by the time you have added up all the extras like rides and entertainment that are not covered, not to mention overpriced food and drinks, the entertainment shops with all those trashy light things plus the merchandise just to say you've been there it is ridiculous. plus of course, now Butlins is trying to be upmarket with the hotel-like accommodation as well

For me there's a difference between expensive and overpriced.

Overpriced = Capri - expensive and not really worth it

Expensive = Denmark - everything costs a lot but it's worth it
