A few of us have just discovered we all did philosophy - a connection we didn't realise we had.

Any more?

Weird, if. When I did philosophy, there were maybe 3 or 4 other female philosophy students total, I think. We did have a few professors.

But then, our course had a mandatory advanced logic course, that wasn't just modus ponens etc, but was Godel's theorem etc, really hairy stuff. (Well, ok, it was only mandatory for honours, the basic N v ~N course was required for everyone, but both were actually pretty irrelevant to most of what we did in philosophy imo)

hoxtonchick · 20/11/2006 17:04

natural sciences, i specialised in experimental psychology in my final year.

WeaselMum where did you do economic and social history?

Wilbur · 20/11/2006 17:08

Theatre Studies and Dramatic Art. And no, it wasn't three years of pretending to be an acorn growing into an oak tree.

WeaselMum · 20/11/2006 17:31

it was at Leeds Uni - IIRC when I was applying there were only about 8 places in the country which offered it - where did you study ledodgy?

marymillington · 20/11/2006 17:32

History of Art

yes, fantastically useful

ledodgychristmasjumper · 20/11/2006 17:34

I studied in Liverpool uni I got into Leeds as well to study International relations but ended up choosing econ and soc hist in Liverpool as I needed to stay close to home because my mum was ill.
I think only a few places do/did it when I was in third year we emalgamated with straight History so I think ours was one of the last years who did it in Liverpool. Not that i've used my degree for much yet!

NotQuiteCockney · 20/11/2006 17:34

marymillington, when I was at uni, we called Art History the Mrs degree

ledodgychristmasjumper · 20/11/2006 17:34
