Just come back to see how spooky is doing, so sorry to hear what's happened. Hope she can make a good recovery (given the circumstances) and that she gets all the support she needs to help her through it all.

edwardcullensotherwoman · 22/04/2010 00:25

A thought just occurred to me - I'm sure spooky mentioned PND in one of her earlier posts, does anyone know if she was being treated, and if meds etc are being kept up to date? I know it may seem a small thing considering everything she's been through, but I daresay the recovery will not be helped by PND if she is still suffering. Toc or Lewis, do you know anything about it?

Eurostar · 22/04/2010 00:30

Sending you best wishes Charlotte. So sorry you had to go through so much trauma.

To those talking about flowers - my recent hospital experiences have been that they discouraged flowers on the wards due to infection control for norovirus etc..

toccatanfudge · 22/04/2010 00:35

gosh edward - I don't know - just searched back and she does say she has it doesn't she.

As soon as I hear from her tomorrow I'll ask her,

Conundrumish · 22/04/2010 00:35

EdwardCullen'sOW - she said 'Am waaay behind with my dissertation but i think Iwill be able to get an extension aas I have had pnd which hasa hampered it. hoepfully anyways' and 'I have awful pnd..... i couldnt possibly have another child'

toccatanfudge · 22/04/2010 00:38

found a post from last November saying she'd come of the AD's,. She has posted since (this year) about being down again, but can't find off hand any mention of being back on them

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:39

she's back on them, Toc - something today about needing a new script

will mention tomorrow, or you can ...

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:40

CJ can you mail me your name so I can check it came through, thanks

TinyPawz · 22/04/2010 00:40

Lewis....another small donation making its (its') way to you.....

toccatanfudge · 22/04/2010 00:41

she posted at the start of this month as well, mentions counselling she's supposed to be starting at some point for it - so I'm guessing it's full on and present again.

Will check with her in the morning if she's on any AD's or what not - last thing she needs now is to be missing loads of them

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:41

Eurostar, I was considering flowers for when she gets home... ?

And either a delivery of food (cos being alone, she'll need easy stuff) or a supermarket voucher so her mum or sister can shop for her as they know her likes / the kids preferences

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:42

Tinypawz, that's very generous - thank you

toccatanfudge · 22/04/2010 00:43

thanks Lewis - missed the bit about needing a new script - will get onto it tomorrow so you can concentrate on the paypal thing

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:45

thanks

TinyPawz · 22/04/2010 00:48

Every little helps

Charlotte, hope you feel better soon,,,(and if it were me, I would be having a long conversation with a solictor!)

AitchTwoZone · 22/04/2010 00:52

little bit from me too, forgot to put name in tho'.

AitchTwoZone · 22/04/2010 00:53

good of you to do this, btw, lewis. thanks.

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:53

if it was literally a second ago, it came through

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 22/04/2010 00:55

What are we up to, lewis? Have pp'd, but I don't know if it takes longer coming from another country, so hope it works out okay.

Katy, Aitch, so sorry to hear the treatment you both had.

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:56

tort - got it; it transfers and converts instantly

(over £250)

Alambil · 22/04/2010 00:58

Right guys n dolls, I'm off to bed.

I won't be around much til after the school run in the afternoon due to family stuff I gotta do, so please don't panic if I don't confirm any payments...

I'll get onto it the first chance I get (most likely evening time)

toccatanfudge · 22/04/2010 01:00

well done Lewis - sleep well.

SC has just recently posted on FB to say she can't sleep - tired and fed up, just wants to hug her kids, as they're doing hourly obs - have sent her a message (private), including mentioning the AD's.

blinks · 22/04/2010 02:12

ah jesus... had to work tonight so just catching up on the latest.

so, she's had a tube removal?

nightmare. she must be absolutely shattered.

she should be able to get an emergency supply of ADs, toccatanfudge.

if in surgery hours, a phone call to GP or if out of hours, a phone call to NHS direct and they should be able to advise on accessing it.
at NHS 24 we can arrange for a prescription to be arranged when surgeries are closed and also advise on open pharmacies so i would imagine NHSdirect can do that too.

she doesn't want to be withdrawing from ADs while going through this...

scoutliam · 22/04/2010 02:43

Charlotte, God I just don't know what to say. I am so sorry for your loss and for all you've been through.
Take care of yourself and allow your family to help you through this awful time.

lowrib · 22/04/2010 03:10

Lewis I've sent a donation. It's only small as I'm afraid we're totally skint right now, but I figured if everyone sends something even if it's only small, you'll have quite a fund in no time.

What a good idea about the food.
