happy anniversary, guada!

coK, your evening routine sounds brain-frizzling.Maybe in another few months you could try to get both boys down at the same time?

ThePinkOne · 25/04/2010 10:11

It's not hard though CoK it's gradual!!!! I've just done 7k but slowly. Think I run better later on.

I've had a glass of water and a banana. And will probably be famished later!

Happy anniversary Guad and MrGuad!

Guadalupe · 25/04/2010 10:24

Thank you, pointy

I have just sent ds1 to the shop to buy weetabix, I really fancied it after all that chat. I quite wanted two actually but I resisted given that I will no doubt eat quite a bit tonight.

Franny - I think a restrictive diet might just about finish you off atm, and you are losing weight. Don't forget that people usually put ON weight when they start running as muscle builds up so you are losing and then when your metabolism is fired up you will lose more.

I don't know what to suggest re sleeping. I fed mine to sleep and co slept for ages but I put them to bed awake even if I fed them in the night, as I couldn't bear that endless evening. There was some crossness and crying and going up and down initially iirc but not for long. Not cc, more like here I am, there you are now go to sleep. Everyone is different though.

Maybe it would be easier to try and get ds2 to sleep on his own, as it sounds like ds1 is more of a problem than just habit and easier to solve? Then at least one will go down easily and you can go out!

Guadalupe · 25/04/2010 10:30

I don't mean ds1 is a problem of course, just that it will be more of a problem to solve, oh you know what I mean, I hope.

Thanks, Pink!

elliemental · 25/04/2010 15:39

hope you and mrC are having a suitably slushy weekend...!

I am now streaming with cold after my cattharry week. Been to an African drumming workshop with the boys who were very tiresome and silly and embarassing and I had to stop myself crying.
I don't wan to go to work tomorrow

I had a very busy day yesterday - allotmenting, and gardening at home, and washing and cleaning and baking. But we had fish and chips for tea. I had about 5 chips.

Toay i have had weetabix
Melon,
grapes, ciucumber and orange juice.
And roast will inclyide sweet potato, brocolli, carrots, red cabbage and peas.

And I will not eat the leftover lemon drizzle cake. At all.

Happy anniversary Guad

I will report back later on today's goings on and my f&v intake. I'm at my parents at the mo and I supposed to be socialising, and that not's going to happen while I am on here

CoupleofKooks · 25/04/2010 16:52

pointydog · 25/04/2010 18:04

tiny tangerine

could have been so much more interesting...

pointydog · 25/04/2010 18:05

had pudding. orange jelly with 3 segments of tinned mandarin.

7.5?

CoupleofKooks · 25/04/2010 20:38

oh

well that's good f and v count for you pointy
i know it's not your favourite

well i am in the dunce's corner again
had a day feeling generally rather tired and down, didn't eat much as feeling blah, then went to a party, ate about 12 cheese sandwiches as they were so delicious and sweet tasting - weird!
then came home feeling knackered and anxious about the evening (dp out at gig) and ate a load of chocolate
then a boiled egg with buttered toast
pah

i liked what you said about the muscle / running thing guad
but can't quite believe i am getting on that well yet, am only doing teeny runs

about the dses and sleep
ds1 is much better now and only needs his hand held while he lies quietly, he falls asleep in about 20 mins
i think he will gradually not need us and then hopefully we can be a bit more independent again
ds2 is not even 2 and still seems like a tiddler so it would feel weird leaving him to sleep on his own - i am sure he would not care if we did it gently as you suggest guad
but i think he would probably be quite noisy about it! and ds1 is such a light sleeper for a child
otherwise i would just bring him back into our bed, god knows we have enough room, but ds2 would wake him up umpteen times a night

anyway sorry for going on about it again! it was reassuring to know other people would find it hard, i am finding it a bit wearing
i feel like my day is being squeezed at both ends, and the night time is not exactly a haven of relaxation either

ellie i can't believe you eat that weetabix crap as well! i hope you feel better
i will finish the lemon drizzle cake to remove it from your sight
