i aimed to miss as obviously throwing things at one's partner is not actually ok
but i was really very cross

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 20/04/2010 21:34

oh dear < from behind hand>

I would imagine it wasn't very dignified

I haven't thrown anything at dh but have very recently indulged in harpie style fishwife screaming he was definitely in the wrong

Boco · 20/04/2010 22:20

Well, I just weighed myself and I was 9 stone 9. That's 3 lbs less that I started with! Hooray!

have had good food day

muesli

soup for lunch from nice deli

spag bol for tea
fruit

See no snacks!

Mainly because had first big proper day at work so no time to think about food. It's exciting and a little bit daunting. Will be designing and setting up a photography course next which am looking forward to.

CoupleofKooks · 20/04/2010 22:56

everyone is shrinking! i had better pull my finger out or will be last biffer left on thread
well done everyone and keep in the zone and drag me along with you

we all want to go and work with boco

hope you are all ok avi

right, everyone who has lost weight, shall i put what you have lost on the list next Monday? because i am confused now who has lost what and whether they lost it this week or next week (IYSWIM)
if everyone can tell me next Mon what they have lost since last Mon then i will do a list, and possibly a scoreboard, with flashing lights and a fanfare

(p.s. scales were looking good chez franny this morning also. being up half night sucked dry by ds2 probably helped)

I am still a biffer.

Today
porridge
furit salad with melon, banana, strawbs, pineapple and grapes

aubergine, chickpea, mushroom and tomato tagine

I have bought very unsexy fitfloppy things from sketchers.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/04/2010 13:40

Red shoes, no knickers

I going to have to give in and buy some scales aren't I?

I meant to ask Fra, you mentioned ages ago the people were asking if the Shiney thread was the new 10/10 thread? Where did they say it and did you respond?

I wore my new silver birkenstocks today. They are a thing of beauty

Guadalupe · 21/04/2010 14:40

Speak for yourself

Yes, I think do the list from monday to monday. I won't be here this monday as it's my anniversary so I could weigh-in Sunday or Tuesday instead. I am in the zone now and quite enjoying it. Almost. It feels like a relief not to be stuffing my face. I am not drinking and going to bed early and I feel so much better.

Mind you, if my mother is not back by Sunday I won't be going anywhere. It's quite possible she won't be I suppose. My sister could do it but she has to up at the crack of dawn for the horses in Suffolk so I don't know that will work and dh is working every weekend in May so postponing would be ages.

But of course I am being selfish again because it is a lot worse for other people , not least my brother who is going to miss an operation on his ear tomorrow, and his ear is so bad mum has had to pay to see a doctor in turkey so I won't go on.

CoupleofKooks · 21/04/2010 17:43

sorry to hear about troubles guad
hope it all comes out ok in the end

silver shoes are pretty
i was just reading the thread after the event lemur so i didn't say anything
i couldn't' think of anything to say that wouldn't have been narky tbh

i am feeling in the zone too guad
didn't have a cake at brownie of doom cafe today, instead virtuous fruit salad

about to have unhealthy wedges and things for tea but you know, i have to keep my strength up

OP posts:
elliemental · 21/04/2010 17:51

this was the thread

i tried to put 'em right in a non narky way at 8.57am but was ignored....

elliemental · 21/04/2010 17:54

(This is going to sound narky and I don't mean to be but...)
why is there an ante-natal thread series called 10/10?? plagirism! Is nothing sacred?

pointydog · 21/04/2010 18:32

I need another big push. I let myself be sucked in by chips at tea time.

one weetabix and milk
glass oj
banana
chicken, potato, carrots and peas
banana
baked salmon fillet, oven chips, pickled beet
tangerine

6-7

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/04/2010 18:39

Thanks for the link Ellie, I'll go and have a nose when ds is in bed.

I think the ante-natal thread is for ladies due in Oct 2010 and they probably don't realise it looks like a veggers thread. Or, they're being ironic as quite a prominant poster started a thread about how horribly twee the ante-natal thread titles are. Or, they knew what they were doing and are being just plain rude

CoupleofKooks · 21/04/2010 18:47

ellie they are people due in october 2010!

cereal fruit (3)
bean salad (2)
that m+s giant couscous salad
bite of chocolate cake
fruit salad (2)
veg sausages, wedges, baked beans, red cabbage, carrots (4)
2 satsumas (1)

= 12, not bad

OP posts:
CoupleofKooks · 21/04/2010 18:47

oh and booja boojas

OP posts:
elliemental · 21/04/2010 18:52

well they should stop it at once and pledge to give birth in november or something....

Listen, this is getting stupid. Today I have eaten porridge, fruit, vegetable and tomato tagine ith a slcie of plain pitta and 2 wholemeal tortillas with spicey peppers, onion and chicken and avacado salad.
I drink fruit juice, water and tea with no sugar. I had a smallpeice of homemade flapjack.
I walk everywhere, I have started cycling, I eat no snacks, cakes etc

I HAVE FRICKING PUT ON 2 POUNDS

elliemental · 21/04/2010 19:00

these are my fugly fake fit flops

Guadalupe · 21/04/2010 19:12

That is annoying, elli. Could it be time of the month? Only other thing you could do is check portion size I suppose. I didn't get anywhere until I checked that. I thought I was 'just' having a bowl of cereal but actually it was more than breakfast and lunches points, though I suppose that was granola and masses of fruit which really added up.

I am sure you are not having too much, but if you really aren't losing and you can't see why, then you might actually be consuming more than you think? Flap jack, for eg, even small and homemade is quite fattening. Tell me to shut up if you like..

Franny - those big cous-cous are weird! I tried them the other day. They are nice though.

Guadalupe · 21/04/2010 19:15

I can't see those flip flops btw

elliemental · 21/04/2010 19:23

it is timeofthemonth, does that make such a big difference? >

the fit flops things are Sketcher's tone-ups, with the unfortunate name of 'meow'. no idea why linky no worky.

pointydog · 21/04/2010 19:39

was the tagine home made, ellie? I had s ome of an m&s tagine at the weekend and was surprised by how many calories were in it. Think it had a lot of oil in it.

elliemental · 21/04/2010 19:47

it was homemade - it was aubergine, mushroom, tomatoes and chickpea with spices. There was like half a teaspoon of olive oil.

CoupleofKooks · 21/04/2010 19:50

ellie it'll just be a fluctuation - if you weigh yourself every day you'll go up and down through the week just depending on water retention and the contents of your stomach and colon etc (yes period will make a difference)
keep at it and just weigh once a week - i bet you see results in two weeks at most
