For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Hi Lemur, Mayor,

Umm, Tomatoes (in soup)
Broccoli,
Cauli,
Satsumas,
Juice.

A 2 hr walk.

I must do better.

I must confess, of this lone parenting lark, that having a day to myself at the weekend is something of a guilty pleasure. I alternate between seeing friends I had lost touch with and being completely self indulgent.

DD's change of school was one of the best things I did for her.
DS is slowly settling and the house is generally calmer, happier and less shouty overall.

SuperBunny · 13/12/2009 20:13

Am glad it is better, mits. It's really hard, being single parent and those rare times alone are wonderful. Well done on getting the DC through this

MaskedYurter1 · 13/12/2009 20:20

hello

have been offline, the fuse box went pop and did odd things to my router. had to wait for dh to return from business trip to sort it

i am eating much crap, but have bought froot to atone for sins

i am waiting for the snow to start. i bought dd1 a sledge today so will bundle dd2 up in a sling and pull dd1 round in the snow when it arrives. we live in the fens. what sort of nutter buys a sledge when they live in the flattest part of the country?

who is the masked yurter? i have an idea but am not 100% sure

am coughing up green goo. and ignoring it because i am too busy to be ill. dd1 had swine flu but is mostly better now. dd2 is enormous and gorgeous and squidgy.

glad to hear all is calm chez mits

bunny you aren't alone, dd1 is being a little sod challenging at the moment. she has taken to repeating whatever i say in a sarcastic tone of voice (aaarrrrggghhhhh rage rage rage) and doing the opposite of what she's asked, eg walking slower when she's asked to go faster and so forth. i am doing shouting open to advice.

MaskedYurter1 · 17/12/2009 22:33

tiger itsme and im shamefully pissed

MayorNaze · 18/12/2009 12:49
