For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

I was thinking of you just the other day, I am in the process of constructing a wnaky basket for dd2

How are you my lovely? How are your lovely boys? Have you been eating lots of nuts seeds cheese fruit?

I am knackered frankly, dd2 - beautiful is she is - is mostly doing growth spurting and night waking atm.

I am trying to be alcohol free during the week.

orange juice
avacado
onion

Hiya Fran

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2010 20:55

i had forgotten the joys of listing

apple
raisins
satsuma
corn (half portion)

the boys were loving it though

i am raising one eyebrow at 'humzinger' on list

ThePinkOne · 19/01/2010 14:26

15 mins run yesterday! And generally pretty good vegging. Probably 7 portions is the least I've had in the last week and lots of 10s.

And loads of housework. I'm being a super 50's housewife this week

Franzo! Good to see you. Are you just having a temporary laspse or are you back?!

Mayo, we never had the tortilla masterclass. Please can you teach me. I've googled some recipes but I'd rather have a tried and tested one

I'm going to be fairly alcohol free now too Moll. A friend and I were getting in the habit of having a glass of wine together once a week but she's pg now so that's out of the window!

ThePinkOne · 19/01/2010 14:31

I have a decision to make. Can I have some votes please.

Race for Life. Do I train hard and do the 10k, do the 5k and try to beat my time from last time, or do the 5k with the children in the buggy?

It's not til the end of May so I should be able to get to 10k by then. But I don't know if I'll enjoy it, cause I get bored and that's a long time to run for!

SuperBunny · 19/01/2010 19:17

do the 5k with the DC in the buggy.

MollyRoger · 19/01/2010 21:24

5k with kids (and someone to act as back-up in case the kids are not happy)

MollyRoger · 19/01/2010 21:24

AndI will sponsor you for sure x

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/01/2010 21:33

Oh, this thread fell off my active convo's.

Hello Franny, I hope you are all well

banana
blueberries
sweetcorn
grapes
mushrooms
tomatoes
smoothie

Not such a good list today.

I had my first yoga class yesterday and today I ache like a biatch. My thigh muscles are burning - it was those bloody squats that done it!

Oh, and 5k with buggy gets my vote.

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2010 08:05

hello
i am meant to be just visiting but it is hard not to get sucked in

is anyone in touch with wombling? could you ask her to email me please?

CrossAunt · 20/01/2010 12:46

SuperBunny · 20/01/2010 19:25

Ooo Mayor, well done. Please tell me all about it, I want to make croissants but it looks like rather a faff. CrossAunt is exactly how they say it in the US and it always makes me want to smack the offender and shout "It's croissant. CROISSANT. You DO NOT say the r or the T at the end because the word is FRENCH you stupid fecker"

Oh ... Ive had a bit of a hard day.

pointysaysrelax · 20/01/2010 19:43

dd1 made veg stir fry which boosted my intake. I'm not doing very well at the mo.

littlerach · 23/01/2010 14:50
