For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 26/08/2009 22:03

A good blubber often helps doesn't it Moll? You can then pull yourself together then work out what it is that you need to do to get things sorted - I am very British like that.

I am a Lemur.
I live in Suffolk.
I am a SAHM.
I am 33.
Baby Lemur is 1 in a couple of weeks.
I love to read.
I love to pinch my boys chubby cheeks and thighs.

ABitWrong · 26/08/2009 22:14

Why are we introducing ourselves? I am in the wrong name.

ThePinkOne · 26/08/2009 22:23

((((((((())))))))))

I am Pink.
I have a 2andahalf ohshit nearly 3 year old dd and a 6 month old ds. I am a SAHM. I eat bacon. I have been a vegger for about 2 and a half years and met lots of other veggers.
I like cooking new things but tonight's gnocchi was a disaster! I want to learn to make tortillas

Fabulous lunch at my friend's house again. Various f&v though not quite 10 I think. Half an hour swimming tonight.

TigerFeet · 27/08/2009 10:47

Morning

I am TigerFeet. The actual hairiness of my feet will forever remain a mystery.
I live in S Lincs, but am originally from Lancashire.
I am usually a PT Office Wallah but am currently on ML.
I have a dd who is 5 and am expecting dd2 at any point in the next couple of weeks or so (due 12/9) (no actual proper twinges yet Mayor but plenty of BH and generaly achiness)
I don't have an allotment but we grow stuff in pots in the garden. My pumpkin is failing miserably, the little pumpkins keep falling off . My tomatoes otoh are a triumph.
I am The Worst Vegger atm although I am better than I was a few months ago.

Oh shit Moll, what a pita [understatement].

ABW you should give yourself more credit.

SuperBunny · 27/08/2009 12:20

Which railway museum, ABW?

Molly, how shit. If it makes you feel any better, I took DS to the new forest in my week old car and someone dropped their bike on the front of it leaving a big dented & a scratch. Can't claim on insurance.

Waldorf Salad always makes me think of Fawlty Towers.

DS was awake or grinding his teeth all night so no-one got any sleep. Still, done laundry, picked tomatoes, had little boy from over the road to play all morning and going to library and shops this afternoon I just wish I had time to read the books I keep borrowing.

Is one of those old lady shopping trolley things not the done thing? I really want one and they do them in funky patterns...

SB, I have a funky one you can borrow for a bit if you like to try it out. I seem to end up using a buggy on the days when I used to use it atm.

My voice is still awol.

Railway museum was in Swindon. Twas good. Lots to do.

Mayor, did your town recently have an awkward diversion because the road with the hospital on it was closed? Hope this is suitably vague.

Today is just crazy and ridiculous.

Thank you to kind people xx

TF, whereabouts in Lancs? I was born in Lancaster.
