...and I don't mean that you've "heard that someone at X school/street/place" has had it, I mean someone that you actually know really has had it/has got it.

I don't know anyone that has and wondered if thats the case for the majority of people on here or not?

My cousin has/had it, my brother is suspected and knowing my luck, I'll get it in the next couple of days!

sweetfall · 18/07/2009 11:36

Yes - quite a lot of people actually including 2 cases at my children's school whilst still swabbing. Once they stopped swabbing both my children, myself, 2 of my friends and I personally sent home 22 children at the school I work at over the course of 5 days with sudden fevers, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and sore throats

Why?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/07/2009 11:36

No-one who I know, or even know of!

Mamazon · 18/07/2009 11:36

a friend of ours has it cvonfirmed. we were at a partyu with him on saturday and DP has had flu like symptoms since tuesday. we think he probably has it but he won't go to the DR as he says there's little point.

nikkid21 · 18/07/2009 11:47

I'm quarantined with it at the moment. Don't feel too bad right now as had 16 hrs sleep plus dosed with paracetamol and given tamiflu with 16 hours of first symptoms

LuluMaman · 18/07/2009 11:48

we're going through this at the moment.. and staying away from everyone

It's not nice DD is starting to get over it.. I feel pants and sleeping a lot.. but I can muster doing things for short bursts.. so it's not as bad as normal flu for me.

both of us are on Tamiflu .. and I closely watching the ds's and H.

Indith · 18/07/2009 11:59

Us

I started it, but did the typical mum thing of mild but prolonged so didn't realise and have probably given it to loads of people.

Ds started coughing with temp.

Dd came over in a lovely viral rash, temp and is barking like a very hoarse dog.

Dh temp now coughing and feels minging.

brimfull · 18/07/2009 12:00

I think I might have it now, but they're not swabbing anymore so there's no way to be sure. I have a sore throat, mild diarrhoea and a temp of just over 38C. I feel a bit drippy when the painkillers wear off but otherwise not too bad.

dizzymare · 18/07/2009 12:12

Nope, no one

mosschops30 · 18/07/2009 12:13

mosschops30 · 18/07/2009 12:14

foxinsocks · 18/07/2009 12:14

A number of children at dc's school. Someone at work. A colleague of dh's. We seem to know loads who have or have had it.
