Thought I would start this as the other one was getting really long.

Since I started the other thread I have lots a few pounds, put them back on, lost them etc etc etc. Finally realised that I need to do something about it after this last week of chocolate and crap, went out today for lunch and ate far too much.

On Monday I am going to Rosemary Conleys, i did go before but the time didn't really suit me, but this one finished and starts earlier so I can go when DH is at work while my mum has ds. So I am really going for it now.

Congrats on the ones who joined me last time and have actually managed to lose weight. Watch this space.....

Stilo, Yes it is the same, hope you found it in the garage.

Well I was suprised at Rosemary Conley's last night. I really enjoyed it. I met a new member and we had a laugh. There was a 5 minute discussion on diet tips etc etc (rather then the hour long meeting a WW and SW where there was too much information to take in) Then followed by a 45 minute work out. I must admit to hating exercise, but that was totally enjoyable and it was a hard work out, it was just made fun by the instructor and the time flew, Only problem is that with being bank holiday next week I have 2 weeks to my weigh-in.

I weighed 12 stone 4 lbs, I had my trainers on and was so pleased that I have not put any on over the easter period.

Diet is 1400 calories a day, eating foot with less than 4g fat per 100g. Easy enough.

Good luck with it Breeze, RC worked for me and this week I'm celebrating a year of maintaining my goal weight. Largely helped by running and the Race for Life (ducks head down and runs back to own thread..)

breeze · 29/04/2003 10:16

I am doing that too. Don't duck from me though, I can hold my head up high and know that I replied originally to your thread.

Well by process of deduction I worked out my original start weight was 15st 7lb. This morning I got on the scales and was shocked to see a whopping first week's loss of 9lb - I'm down to 14st 12lb!! I have never lost so much weight in the first week before, and never been on a diet where I really don't want to cheat. Part of it is mindset - it's my time to do something about this now, but part of it is also the diet, it's brilliant. I know the weight loss will slow down now, but it's a cracking start and definitely one to build on.

From a happy bunny! :-)

Chinchilla · 29/04/2003 20:12

Congrats!

breeze · 30/04/2003 08:53

Well done rosiemum thats fantastic. You are right it will slow down, but this will give you the kickstart you need to continue.

Finally - after a good holiday ( read great food) I am back on track and have lost my first stone....

miggy · 01/05/2003 21:47

Am seizing the opportunity of DH being away for 10d to lose 10lbs (not in 10 days of course-I wish- but make a start). I like low-carb diets and am following my own made up plan combining several (Dont think last nights fish and chips was on the plan though!). I was looking up "the carbohydrate addicts diet" and from a series of links came across "the sex plan diet"- didnt sign up for the $39 book but great marketing trick- even has bit where you can click if you havent got a partner- dont know if it finds you one or gives you solo tips!

WedgiesMum · 01/05/2003 22:03

Got to join in here having just come back from WeightWatchers. Been going since august and proud to report have lost nearly 4 stones, started out at 16 stone 11 pounds so there you go. Put on 1 pound this week though...... (too much chocolate calling my name in the house). Used to do RC before DS was born and lost lots on that too and really enjoyed the exercise.

Well done to all of you losing weight this week - you're doing so well!

I'm finding it hard to get motivated at the moment, I think I've been doing it so long I'm getting a bit complacent.....(and of course there is always the chocolate calling my name, there it goes now 'wedgie, wedgie I'm waiting......'.

breeze · 02/05/2003 09:51

Well just to update, I have been really good with my diet, I have stuck to it and have not gone over my calories allowance yet.

I weighed myself at home last night and was 11 stone!!!!

I'm proud of meeeeeeeeee. Probably just a natural weight fluctuation, but the excitement that I'm almost 10 stone..X pounds is grrrrreat!

SamboM · 02/05/2003 10:54

Well done everyone on your weight loss. I joined WW online too, it has been v good, though I did it for 3 weeks, lost 9lbs and then had a break for 3 weeks where I didn't eat like a pig but wasn't counting, managed not to put on any weight and this week have started WW again, lost 3lbs in 5 days so feeling VV positive!

I started at 14st 7 and am now down to 13st 9. Aiming for 13 st before I have another break (I can't keep it up indefinitely and I like giving my body a chance to adjust before carrying on). My main goal is to be 12 st 7 (my pre-preg weight) by 5th July which is dd's christening type party (without the religion!) Then after that I want to get down to 10st 7 which is my ideal weight and makes me a size 12.

Is there a weigh-in day on this thread? Mine for WW is wednesdays, anyone want to join me for moral support?

happydays · 02/05/2003 10:57

Well done all that have lost, especially breeze (I know how much you love your chinese's & indians)

Chinchilla · 02/05/2003 23:11

I'd just like to say that I'm not overweight, I'm just under tall! Still having a bad week, feeling so miserable. I have eaten my own body weight in chocolate...

Rosiemum · 04/05/2003 08:44

Just to check in and say I've continued to stick to the diet - my only 'sin' being a couple of glasses of wine. As predicted the weight loss has slowed this week - since Tuesday I've lost a pound - but that's still a pound in the right direction!

Still focussed, still committed and hoping for another pound by Tuesday.

eidsvold · 04/05/2003 09:24

rosies mum that is within a healthy weight loss range - so keep up the brilliant work... each loss is a success no matter the size.

SamboM · 04/05/2003 12:16

Damn I went out last night and drank 4 vodkas and a bottle of wine. I feel horrible and bloated today, serves me right.

megg · 04/05/2003 13:51

I've managed to lose another 3lb so I'm happy. Had friends round on Friday night and ended up drinking two bottles of wine and felt awful yesterday. Must be all the exercise which is helping me get the weight off.

JanZ · 05/05/2003 08:37

Whahey! I've broken 11 stone! Am now 10st 12 lb - a loss of 3lb over the week.

My interim target is to break 10st by dh's birthday - 8 weeks away. If I continue my slow and steady progress, that should be eminently achievable. I've been averaging 2lb a week - so I've lost eight pounds since I started (nine if you count the day when I went UP a pound from when I started!)

breeze · 05/05/2003 10:25

WEll done to all those who lost, I have to wait until next Monday to find out if I lost. I lost track a bit over the weekend, but back on board now. My trousers are more loose, so I know I have lost weight.

I was doing really well - despite ditching Atkins last week - and had lost another couple of pounds. Then dh rang on way home from work to ask if my sister (who had come over) and I wanted a soup from the chinese takeaway. Thought that would be fine so said yes. When he arrived he had basically bought the entire restaurant - bar anything low cal or healthy. Now I can resist making a takeaway order, I can even order a relatively healthy takeaway if push comes to shove - but I cannot resist naughty stuff if it is put on a plate in front of me and I am then told "come on, you've got to have some of this, it cost me £30". Managed not to pig out completely, then spent the night dreaming about how fat I am. Woke up in a foul mood, a couple of pounds heavier.

mum2toby · 05/05/2003 10:45

Well done breeze!

Oh well willow - today is another day! I went out for lunch yesterday..... I tried to be good but the White chocolate cheesecake was shouting so loudly at me that I HAD to silence it!!

SamboM · 05/05/2003 13:07

Oh it's going so badly this weekend. Another bottle of wine and half a HUGE bag of mini cheddars and a third of a large dominos pizza. I'm going to staple my mouth up and eat through a straw.

Chinchilla · 05/05/2003 20:06

Yeah, but SamboM, chocoalte can be melted and sucked through a straw
