For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Bunny, I don't know what situation has led to you being in the States, but it sounds like you want to come home so your news is FAB

pinkspottywellies · 14/05/2009 18:30

Argh! Nearly lost you! Haven't been on for so long that I had nothing in Thread's I'm On!!

SB fingers crossed! Very excited for you

I've just had the most divine seafood risotto Bit lacking in F&V - onion celery and a few peas but holy god it was lovely. I was tempted to eat DH's and send him down the chippy. And I was hoping he'd come in and say he wasn't hungry!

SuperBunny · 14/05/2009 18:36

LR.

Mits, I have a house in W. Yorks but I don't want to live there. But I might. I don't know. I will probably stay with my sister (I haven't actually asked her yet) for a bit when we first come back. She lives nr Bournemouth but then we'll need to fin our own place, so perhaps the Sh town. I dunno. Depends on work, I suppose.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 14/05/2009 19:19

ds2 has 2 new teeth
which would explain the ABYSMAL 2 nights we have just had
but not why he was determined to stay up last night till about 10 pm singing and laughing and appears to fancy the same again tonight?

Oh...I don't care where you end up SB, I am going to meet you one day, one way or another so brace yourself...!!

OK....So how did I wind up at a Dublinners gig instead of the Levellers? Well I think I was on the receiving end of a practical joke and I am not the sharpest tool in the tool box...... Respect to Dublinners fans but I didn't make it through the first half.

Got through the Pogues though and they were blardy brilliant, saw the late great Kirsty Mcholl(sp?)

Piiiinnnkkkk!!! {{{{{{}}}}}}

ahundredtimes · 14/05/2009 19:55

Wonders how LR got herself into IL predicament.

That's very exciting SB. Are you excited? You don't sound sure. Are you both coming back, was it all sorted?

I've eaten many dried apricots. I don't like dried apricots.

FrayedKnot · 14/05/2009 19:56

Evening

SB..I am terribly excited to see your news. Fingers x it all goes to plan for you.

Mits I did wonder why you said you were taking time off when the DCs were off school and then said it was after the BH

I can;t believe how quickly the half term holiday is coming round. We are going to the seaside for the BH weekend, so I expect we're in for lots of rain

Have eaten loads of fruit today, unusual for me 'cos I find veg easier, but I have finally taken Franny's advice to eat fresh fruit for breakfast

littlerach · 14/05/2009 20:07

Yes, I know 100

But that is all sorted now. I think

You know, I pretneded to be Anne the other day when I needed ot be assertive.
It was good.
I enjoyed it.
I also realised that I need ot be able to teach dds that they can be Anne and that it is OK to be that.

I like dried apricots but can't eat too many. The nicest ones are from Lidly very moist and sticky, not dry.

I am now watchimg Green Day. The singer must actually be a lot older than I thought.

Guadalupe · 14/05/2009 20:17

We are watching that too, LittleR. They are quite an old band though aren't they? I remember going to see them 15 years ago.
