For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Lol at x posts with Molly

they look like the mean it

TooTicky · 13/05/2009 21:44

Mits, I would move if I could [wistful]

LR, is she tired, do you think? My dcs are revolting when they are tired.

FrayedKnot · 13/05/2009 22:25

LR I sympathize, rarely a day passes in this house without some kind of outburst from DS, it is very wearing.

I do feel school / tiredness exacerbates things a lot, sadly.

TooTicky · 13/05/2009 23:16

At the start of this thread, my grandmother was alive.

SuperBunny · 14/05/2009 00:26

Oh, Toot

SuperBunny · 14/05/2009 00:31

Week off sounds very good indeed, Mits. If I were in the UK, I'd come and visit. I wouldn't be too far away, really.

Strawberries (2)
Banana (2)
peas
red pepper
goji berries

It felt like so much more than this

littlerach · 14/05/2009 07:58

TooT.

Yes dd2 is tired and says she doesn't want to go to school nay more. But she does like it when she's there.

Have a good week off Mits

FrannyandZooey · 14/05/2009 09:12

TooT, my dear, I am sorry

do you want to pick the next title? (obviously that will make you feel SO much better AND we will end up with a crap title )

I thought of you yesterday Toot, the Levellers are playing an acoustic session in a local pub next week.

Have had good week of FOCUS with a vast amount of vegetables. Oh yes.

mollyroger · 14/05/2009 10:54

oh, I hope boco realises I don't really mean fuck off. I mean fuck off....because she always seems to have cool, lovely, amusing and unexpected thimgs happening near.,

Boco · 14/05/2009 11:01

Hmm, but am not a levellers fan, I find them pretty unbearable so won't be going and therefore for me, it doesn't count as cool or lovely.

mollyroger · 14/05/2009 11:06

but even if you don't like them, can you accept that seeing a band - who have played in front of 10,000 - in a lcoaL PUB, PLAYING ACOUSTIC, IS A LITTLE BIT COOL...?

Boco · 14/05/2009 11:12

NOT if they still wear patchwork trousers and smell of scrumpy.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 14/05/2009 13:39

Lol at Boco and Molly..

Makes ya feel all warm inside..he he!

I am in danger of being lost at sea.

Tempting to blow my inheritance on a world tour of veggers......

Or arrange to have you kidnapped...

Week off is the week after bank holiday. I am going to be prepared. Have a week doing all the crappy little things that would stay on the back of my mind to do.

Did I mention I went to see the Levellers but somehow wound up at a Dubliners gig? [Hmm]...

Food.... right, time for work .
