For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

'grating your rind up' sounds wrong, like smack your bitch up, somehow.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2009 17:34

Nothing wrong with a bit of prodigy IMO!! LOL

womblingalong · 12/05/2009 17:54

Me too Mits, love the Prodigy.

Thanks guys, it's been a crappy day it's fair to say. Gonna be worse tomorrow. Shopping channel want me back, but not sure i'll still be at work, lol!

Guadalupe · 12/05/2009 17:59

Sorry to hear that, Wombling. Dh has been made redundant twice and we are always under the threat of it now. It's the pits. Hopefully something new and better will come up.

The accidental dresser is not only colossal it is a monstrosity.

Chicken salad. Weigh-in shortly but have lost nothing in three weeks, I think it is what they call a plateau.

mollyroger · 12/05/2009 18:11

The plums beseeched me.
''Eat me do.''
So I ate one
And then I ate two.

womblingalong · 12/05/2009 18:11

Thanks Guad, What does DH do?

This is the third time snce I was pregnant with DD who is 4.5 now. I am a bit fecked off with it now.

How did you get the dresser home in the end? Is it too big for your space? Maybe painting it with that paint Boco suggested would help?

womblingalong · 12/05/2009 18:29

Like the titles Pointy, you're a natural

Guadalupe · 12/05/2009 18:31

He's a network engineer, loads of work is sourced out to other countries now so there are consistent rounds of redundancies. Dh is quite skilled and needed atm but even his bosses have lost their jobs, it's quite an uncertain place to work.

The dresser will need a lot of work.

Guadalupe · 12/05/2009 18:32

We had to pay someone to help collect it in a large truck too.

Dh is cooking meatballs. It stinks.

SuperBunny · 12/05/2009 18:34

Oh, big day Mits. Hope you are ok.

You too, wombling You're a television personality now, I have high hopes for you.

LR, when my Dad's IBS was really bad, he had to eat a very low fibre diet, no caffeine and no alcohol. He was very unhappy about the whole thing.

asparagus
broccoli

FrannyandZooey · 12/05/2009 18:36

wombling that stinks
i can only be hopeful it'll be the start of something new and marvellous, but it still stinks in the meantime

pointy i am not 100% convinced about the titles (i rarely am unless i thought of them myself )
everyone else just tells me what to do anyway
grating your rind up has potential imo

the website is atrocious and almost put me off them
but hallelujah the bloke was great

and rather charming

Pointy, excellent thread titles. I am a Bucks FIzz fan so the limes gets my vote but I do like the Whiff BeetChard one too.

pointydog · 12/05/2009 19:01

sultanas
banana
broccoli
raw tomatoes
raw caRROT
bit of raw pepper

I just chopped up loads of vegetables for tea and even made dh eat some. He put a load of spicy tomato pickle on his plate and used that as a dip, somewhat half-heartedly.

I'd say 6 portions there when all balanced out. Will have two oranges.

FrannyandZooey · 12/05/2009 19:20

pineapple
grapes
apple
banana
raisins
bean salad (2 portions)
stew with loadsa stuff in (2 portions)

more coming

uh ohds1 losing it here be back later

to add t previous unintelligble list:

Broccoli
sweetcorn
asian pear
banana chips

pointydog · 12/05/2009 19:40

what's an asian pear?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2009 19:59

So, not only was I singing in one of my customer's homes, (they had left a note suggesting they were out).
But I was singing to Dr Dre...., a song detailing just what he had in mind for the lady of his life.....
3 hours can be a very long time in an uncomfortable situation....

Equivalant to a set of bristols pointy?

As a hip-hop fan, I must confess The Eurovision loses me slightly but good titles.

School were not best helpful. Very friendly and nice but . Time to rethink.

Jeez I am busy. Appear to be running a very popular service. Tis nice but need to balance with more painting. double And I am very lucky given the current climate, I thought I would go under.

A run and a walk and
Banana,
apple,
pomegranate thing,
another peach.

I want plums the ones at our shop are unripe.

littlerach · 12/05/2009 20:49

Asian pear, or it might have been a chinese pear, is nothing like a conference pear
They have much crsiper flesh and don't taste like other pears.
They were reduced at the Co Op!

at Mits.
Dr Dre? V nice!
Dd1 was listening to Eminem on the radio I disovered at the weekend
Fortunately it was alll bleeped out!
She was rather impressed with his rhyming abilities though

mollyroger · 12/05/2009 20:53

salad with: Sweetcorn, celery, peppers, olives, red onion, cucumber, spring onion, rocket,

Lentil soup
Banana
2 plums
satsumas

oh I dunno.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/05/2009 21:06

Banana
dried fruit
OJ
cucumber x2
apple
salad leaves
tomatoes
radishes
corn on the cob
strawberries
raspberries
pineapple
mushrooms
onions
peppers

What dontcha know Moll?

Guadalupe · 12/05/2009 22:13

I think you have to forget about the word pear when you eat an asian pear, otherwise you think it is a horrible pear, whereas if you think it is a new thing altogether it is quite fresh and crisp and tasty.

I had put on half a pound, this is the first time this has happened and I immediately went out and ate devilled whitebait, paella and lemon posset and two glasses of rose. Oh well.

salad
lemons
roses

pointydog · 12/05/2009 22:15

that meal sounds loevly, guada. Half a pound is nothing.

mollyroger · 12/05/2009 22:17

how many portions that is

FrannyandZooey · 12/05/2009 22:32

blueberries
apple
banana

11
