For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh WELL DONE Atilla! If sad lady comes back she will feel all buoyed up now. Thank you.

Oh yes, you do know that. I stood next to you in the line and everything. Also why that's why I am so Napoleonic brisk.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:02

Did you? Oh, my memory is poo.

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 20:03

Lol at brisk.

Were you next to Toot? I forget this line we periodically form. I expect we will do it every year.

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 03/04/2009 20:07

love you all!

Still hacking and sneezing away. Have now done terrible things like eat raw garlic in a bid to cure self. Yes, I know, you may all step away from me

Watermelon, apple, beans, strawberries, onions, peppers, muchrooms, sweet potato, green beans, chickpeas, spinach, tomatoes.

Had a lovely day though. Allotment pottering in morning, lunch with DH, then a rather sweet event at school where governors and local elderly from almshouses had tea and listened to children singing. I actually got goosebumps and welled up - and my children weren't even involved!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2009 20:07

can I have some 'buoying' please?

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 20:11

Poor, Molly. This cold has done you in hasn't it. Was it flu do you think?

Raw garlc is good. One of the first things do when ill. Stuff the smell!

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:15

TMW, already have xxxxxxx

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:21

Tempting but for the fact that I cannot guarantee the water will all stay on his side of the bed.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:24

Oh fuckit fuck everything early night bollocks shit ha!

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 03/04/2009 20:24

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:25

Perhaps I'll gently drip an axe on his face.

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 20:25

or soap shavings in a open mouth

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 03/04/2009 20:27

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 20:29

I thought of you today, Toot. There was a gorgeous Moomins book in Borders, all textured and muted colours and the proper old cartoon strip.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:29

Except I am good and non-reactive so I will just carry on being fucking helium or argon or something gggggggrrrrrrrrrr.
I AM PISSED OFF.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:30

Oh yes Guad, there are two of them.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:31

And now dd2 says, "Mum please don't go for a run because I am desperate for sleep!"
All tearful like.
Sigh.

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 20:32

You are funny when you are pissed off.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 20:33

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 20:38
