For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

God what is the matter with me I just read that as

"If you get in a man for your breakfast it makes it a lot easier to get to 10"

Must be hormones

TooTicky · 02/04/2009 22:30

Codde pieces and men for breakfast? Goodness FK, your life sounds exciting...

I am actually quite liberal where fire is concerned. From fairly young, they have been allowed to explore candles and matches (supervised) and recently I have allowed the older ones to have small fires in the garden (unsupervised) so they are not deprived.

SuperBunny · 02/04/2009 23:19

I want FK's life. It sounds much more exciting than mine.

Grapes

My mum is coming tonight so my fridge is full of ch**se and the cupboard stuffed with wine. This from the bunny who is happily teetotal until family visits

Eww at nipple piercing, it's like being a teenager again with everyone showing off their gristly squeaky weeping holes that they have to hide from their mum. Ears and nose was the extent of my mutilation. Can't imagine doing it now. DD has asked for her ears pierced.

I am rotating on a axis of gas. There was little other than pizza in this place which never agrees with me and certainly not after my muffin extravaganza. I actually look six months pregnant.

nickytwotimes · 03/04/2009 09:57

ILikeToMoveIt, I think we have the same birhtday, iirc? near Christmas?

Morning all.

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 10:10

Hello, Nicky.

I am going to try and be frugal today to counteract yesterdays excess. Tomato and lentil soup for lunch.

nickytwotimes · 03/04/2009 10:17

Guad, I love your description of rotating on an axis of gas! I frequently feel that way.

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 10:21

I feel a little deflated today.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2009 10:28

Guad...I am still keeping it secret from my Ma and Pa. lol. (I am 39!!)

Not like you to be deflated, hope it is short lived and you are back to your usual self soon..

Have a large stiff drink cup of tea and a piece of cake.

Pepperminty things are supposed to help with abdominal problems....

I had my cervix cauterised...that might take your mind off what ever is bothering you

Hope you enjoy your mum's visit SB

I am so busy I shouldn't be here but feel 'odd' and 'spacey'

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 11:11

I am deflated as in gas, Atilla, on the contrary I am extremely perky in spirit.

Lol at me of all people counting my blessings because you have had a cervical treatment. Though I am sorry you had to have it, they are very unpleasant and hopefully your results will be fine.

It is a baking kind of day today I think. I have shepherds pie, lentil soup, simnel cake and biscuits on the go.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2009 11:25

Yes....I did realise that was a foot in mouth statement after I had posted it .....
didn't mean to count your blessings as such, oh bollox....

sos anyway....wouldn't be deliberately insensitive.

Simnel cake is divine and I have ingrediants, and nobody else in the house likes it he he!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2009 11:41

Oh I am bursting, I am a part of this and all the brochures have arrived and I am so thrilled, if anyone is my way I would love to see you and will give a (good) veggers discount......

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/04/2009 12:43

I never tried simnel cake, what is it like?

nicky - yes, that's it! How's the f&v intake going?

Must dash, will be back later.

He did take them shopping as well, and hung out the washing.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 16:56

Oh my goodness, there are ears!!!!!

LR, did you not see my suggestion or are you being evasive?

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 17:16

TMW, why can I not find you on that site? Have they left you out? Do #i have to go and shout at them?

littlerach · 03/04/2009 17:21

Ha ha yes, am wuss!

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 17:22

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 17:23

An unpersuadable wuss?

Guadalupe · 03/04/2009 17:27

I haven't actually progressed with the Simnel cake, LittleR, so don't be impressed just yet. It is still open on the page with a bag of flour on the top! I might do it tommorow now.

Those ears are hilarious. They look like tonsils.

littlerach · 03/04/2009 17:32

Yep, sorry TooT, unpersuadable!
Will watch behind hands if you get yours done.

TooTicky · 03/04/2009 17:39

hmm...

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 03/04/2009 18:33

Yes Toot, they have left me out.....grump grump...Not worried though,
