For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Right FOCUS:

Raisins, dried pineapple, dates
Raspberries
Pear
Chickpea, courgette, pepper cous cous with some tuna
OJ

So 5 so far, and 2 choc coins fished out of the bottom of my handbag!

Toot, If you have lots of time, just slice in half (skin on, skin is lovely!) and roast for at least an hour... (180 degrees?)
If less time, cut into smaller segments or slices.

TooTicky · 02/04/2009 17:16

Thank oo Molly

MollyRogerslikeanEasterabbit · 02/04/2009 17:19

any thoughts on this?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/04/2009 17:44

For Toot's DD1, 'cos you is special, and a high '5'...you should be proud of yourself for sticking to your principals!

Well impressed with your DS2 and 'toilet training' Franny......

LR, how and stressful..... as if you aren't under enough stress.

I appear to have had my nipple pierced.

I am ridiculously pleased with myself.....

Pink, you are fab.....

TooTicky · 02/04/2009 17:53

Well, y'know, I was thinking of getting my brain pierced tomorrow....can only improve it...

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/04/2009 17:54

Pleeeeeuuuurrrrppppppp!!!!!!!!!!

SuperBunny · 02/04/2009 18:24

LR

When we got a resuce dog, the rescue centre sort of made us take him home - we didn't actually want a dog but they said he was ours now, so we took him home. He was fab, if a little neurotic.

Mitsubishi - that is one of my favourite poems

Been to Fire Station and can now tell the difference between a fire truck and a fire engine. Very important, apparently.

Veg Chili (Black beans, kidneys beans, tomatoes, onions, peppers) [2-3]
Peas
Corn
Banana

SuperBunny · 02/04/2009 18:26

Mits, I might get my nose done. Have been debating for a while. So, I may at your and tell you nipple piercing is a bad idea but I am a big fat hypocrite

TooTicky · 02/04/2009 18:46

Oh nose, yes. Do.
i sort of wonder about my eyebrow from time to time.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 02/04/2009 18:47

I wondered about it to Toot....has it always been like that?

FrannyandZooey · 02/04/2009 18:49

i had the top of my ear done and in my ignorance went somewhere they used a gun
it went bizarre and my ear is still funny at the top - apparently

look away if squeamish

I had my nose pierced years ago but rarely wear a stud these days... I have to take all my jewellery off if I go anywhere near the factory at work and dd had a thing about grabbing for it when she was tiny so I fell out of the habit of wearing it. Not sure about nipples though. Mitsu you are far, far braver than I am

I chopped up a load of stuff for salady bits for tea, then dh rang and said he'd be late home so should he just pick something up so I snapped his hand off begged and pleaded with him to be content with salad but he insisted on Chinese takeway yummy

TigOeufFeet · 02/04/2009 18:53

oh god Franny, me too, I heard that about tops of ears - after I'd had mine done that hole has closed up now though

TigOeufFeet · 02/04/2009 18:54

as has my belly button [sieve emoticon]

My dsis had her eyebrow done recently, she looks fab, but a mate of my brother got his ripped out at a gig once and that put me off eyebrow piercings for life

TooTicky · 02/04/2009 18:55

Eeww Franny

TMW, you wait, I will get you!!!!!!

FrannyandZooey · 02/04/2009 18:55

mine has closed up but the ear is still a bit odd - i googled at the time and found hideous pictures of people whose ears had collapsed
so we were lucky

hope your nipple doesn't collapse mitsu
