For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, it's the Earth watch black out thingy today, isn't it? Last year they turned all the skyscrapers off which they never ever do.

FrayedKnot · 28/03/2009 22:04

Oh no I forgot!

Lights ablazing here

I would have been crying like a baby too Franny if I had to wait over an hour for food in a restaurant. It sounds like they didn;t have a clue. I bet you'd asked for highchairs& stuff so they knew children and babies were coming.

Thought for the day...a poem by ds2:

Don't throw peas at your brother,
Don't throw mice at your mother,
Don't kiss the cheese,
Don't hide your mum's keys,
Don't make a mess in your house,
Don't kill the mouse,
Don't be sad in your pie,
Don't wear your pants and fly,
Don't rip your shirt,
Don't put a worm in your skirt,
Don't put cake in your pants,
Don't put glitter on the ants,
Don't make dad sad,
Don't make the cat mad.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/03/2009 09:48

That made me lol Toot Well done ds2!

I HATE feeding bra's too. I have spent a bloody fortune on them and I've still never found one that does any kind of justice. Baby Lemur is cutting down on his feeds quite fast (a little too fast imo) so I may be back in the underwire soon - hurrah!

On our 2009 tour of Suffolk towns, we visited Hadleigh and Lavenham yesterday. Both very pretty towns with gorgeous higgledy piggledy houses. It was soooo cold though.

We watched Juno last night and loved it, great dialogue.

Dh didn't come home last night.

Presuming he isn't actually dead, I feel pretty pissed off tbh. The last thing I said was drive carefully as he said there was going to be a frost.

I wasn't that surprised to see he wasn't there this morning as it was a friend's 30th and he hasn't seen this crowd of people for a long time and the meak was in Suffolk, but I WAS expecting to get up and find a message or a text.

TooTicky · 29/03/2009 09:59

Oh dear Guad. I hope you hear from him soon.

Good morning Lemur.

Guadalupe · 29/03/2009 10:06

Me too.

Lol at don't kiss the cheese. Funny poem.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/03/2009 10:07

I'm not surprised you're pissed off Guad. I would be exploding with fury and wringing my hands with worry, all at the same time.

I hope he gets in contact soon.

Guadalupe · 29/03/2009 10:10

Thanks. I am mostly pissed off but there is just that niggle burrowing there. And seen as he's most likely lying on some floor snoring then I feel cross that I have to think about.

I even thought which house would I live in, would I just stay here? Nice way to spend your sunday morning. Looks sunny though.

FrannyandZooey · 29/03/2009 10:21

oh ruddy hell guad, that stinks
make him kiss the cheese when he gets back
oh dear everyone said all kinds of things about how nasty to be to dp when he turned up, that time, and it didn't help at all
i was doing the "well i wonder where we would have the funeral" type thing though
oh put cake in his pants
i take it he isn't answering his phone?

FrannyandZooey · 29/03/2009 10:25

i am feeling narky because there is loads to do and i didn't have a proper lie in
ds2 was shouting
and probably because i ate too much crap food yesterday
and i have to go to the gym at a certain time and that makes me resentful
and dp was being an arse yesterday
and this stupid hour going forward thing

there i think that is the majority of things i am feeling narked about

can anyone help me think of very cheap things to go into a party bag
i have thought of a little bag of home made popcorn
and some easter colouring and maze and wordsearch type things printed off

TooTicky · 29/03/2009 10:33

sunflower seeds and dinky pot?

TooTicky · 29/03/2009 10:36

I woke up at 3 this morning
[dazed ]

littlerach · 29/03/2009 12:12

3 TooT

Did you go back to sleep?

Seeds v good idea.

Guad, I would be fuming. And also panicking. But quietly.

WE didn't get up til 9am this morning. That is unheard of.

Washing on line, sun shining and dh cooking again. Life is good

littlerach · 29/03/2009 12:12

Oh, Lemur, i love Juno.
And I love the soundtrack too.

TooTicky · 29/03/2009 12:30

No, still up. Cooking.

Saw Atille yesterday, seeing her again today

littlerach · 29/03/2009 12:39

Like saw her in Real Life?

TooTicky · 29/03/2009 12:57

Yes she os here now!!!!!!!!!!!

Guadalupe · 29/03/2009 13:09

He has been and gone. Was distinctly unsorry and laughed when I said I was worried he'd had an accident so we had a row and he's stormed off and all the children are crying. FFS.

I think I will write off today.

littlerach · 29/03/2009 13:56

Guad, they can be pricks, can't they?
Can you go out and do somehting nice instead?

TooT (and Attila) how lovely.

Guadalupe · 29/03/2009 14:04

Went out to the park and things earlier so I'll stay in now. Am roasting a chcken and we have stuffing with swede and roast potatoes and leeks and cauliflower and broccoli and then meringues with raspberries and yoghurt.

It smells nice. I am going to light a fire too as it's freezing again.

Toot - you kept your meet-up a secret! You normally mention when someone is coming to see you. Hope you've had a nice weekend.

mollyroger · 29/03/2009 15:27

I am very jealous of both of you for meeting each other

Give each other a hug from me IYKWIM....

pinkspottywellies · 29/03/2009 15:31

Attila's a long way from home! Was she passing through? Hope you're having a lovely time

Got up at 6 for F1. Excellent race. I do love a bit of God Save The Queen blaring out of the tv Then we went to the big chavvy carboot sale/market where ds got stared at a lot in the sling! Had a nice mooch in the sun.

Guad, I'd be furious if DH did that but even more so to laugh about you being worried and then buggering off again

What about a little pot of bubbles in the party bags Franny? Tesco some supermarkets do packs of them for party bags.

SuperBunny · 29/03/2009 15:33

Good Poem, toot's DS2

Are those villages near Kentwell Hall, Lemur? Lavendham sounds so familiar and I can't think why.

Franny, you could put cool shells or rocks from a beach (although I don't think you like that close) in a party bag. DS got lots of rocks in his eggs from our egg hunt and they are his favourite thing. We also put in seeds (no pot). You can find small cheap not made in china things on Etsy.

Oh Guad Hope he comes back soon and is suitably apologetic. I hate it when they don't see why you were worried.
