For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ha franny, that's how I know it isn't flu - I am eating like a pig! think it's gone to my chest...

Off to cinema to see (cheap) showing of igor. Probably a bag of shoite butI cannot do outdoors in this wind and cold.

Guadalupe · 28/03/2009 10:07

I think the thread often stays white doesn't it? I had black and white cotton nursng bras but they got quite boring.

I have gone down three bra sizes recently so I have had to dig out old ones. They don't fit perfectly though.

Guadalupe · 28/03/2009 10:09

Molly - That reminds me, when I was a heavy smoker I used to get colds like that, went on for ages coughing up grim stuff. It was like the cold expectorated my lungs or gave it a good clear out or something.

littlerach · 28/03/2009 13:03

Yes, the cotton stays white, and poss fasteneings.

It is ridiculously windy atm.

Dh bought me some montezuma chilli chocolate today.

SuperBunny · 28/03/2009 14:36

Hello

Nothing to say.

Coffee.

pinkspottywellies · 28/03/2009 14:59

I've got 1 black nursing bra that fits, 1 from last time that will do for bed and 2 from last time that will just about do when 1 that fits is in the wash. I think I need to buy more Can't really be arsed to buy online though cause find it really hard to get right fit and there isn't anywhere I live that I can get my size PITA

Tomato

pinkspottywellies · 28/03/2009 15:02

SB is lexulous pretty much the same as Scrabble? Just so I don't do anything really stupid!

SuperBunny · 28/03/2009 15:06

Yes, it's the same. I can't use the normal version of scrabble over here so have to use that instead. It's not as good but the rules are the same.

ChairmumMiaow · 28/03/2009 15:20

I splashed out more than 30 quid a piece on nice nursing bras, but even the underwired one doesn't give decent support when you're still a 42F (down from 44H). DS is 14mo and still feeds plenty but I've now given up on nursing bras and gone for the evans cleavage ones without the full cup so I can just pop my boob over the top to feed. Works fine and I keep getting people asking me if I've lost weight because my boobs are about 2ft higher

DH has taken DS out for a nap in the sling and its just started hailing Hopefully he's near our office and will detour there to sit it out.

so far today 1/2 grapefruit and 1 banana. Must do better.

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2009 15:37

yes miaow i also switched to underwire asap, but i am wary about it atm - i think will wait a few more months
well there are no bras in my town that fit me
i am not exactly a wildly unusual size
in M+S the fitter agreed with me that i looked better in the (badly fitting) bra i walked in with
so i left without a new one

did get fab pair linen trousers in sale £12 though

Boco · 28/03/2009 16:04

Urgh I am ill. Can i list ailments instead of vegetables? Molly sounds like what you've got. Been in bed all day, but awake most of the night - woke up at 2am and my heart was beating too loudly and fast in my teeth and things hurting, so still awake at 5, is rubbish. Am getting hot orange and going back to bed.

Hot orange.

SuperBunny · 28/03/2009 17:05

Sorry for all illnesses.

Should I sell DS's balance bike? He's outgrown it and can ride a real bike so we have no need for it. Also, I am lacking space and will need to move sometime soon so sentiment is not helpful. But, I don't actually want to sell it. WWYD? Ditto, Ergo - they sell for lots of money but, but, but... and what, if one day, in about 5 years, I have another baby?

Guadalupe · 28/03/2009 17:09

That was honest of the marks woman! I tried their veg sushi on your recommendation, Franny. I usually have the pret one. It was very nice.

Poor you, Boco. That reminds me, the woman serving me in the library had a streamng cold and I meant to wash my hands immediately and I forgot. It was so bitter outside with HAIL that we jumped in a taxi. I know you can pick one up anywhere but it looked like her nose had been stripped of skin.

We have a roaring fire and I still feel cold. It's been horrible weather today.

littlerach · 28/03/2009 17:10

Hi SB.
I think I would sell it and think that in the future you could get another one.

Boco.

I am having higgidy pie fo rdinner.
here
They are so yummy.

Guadalupe · 28/03/2009 17:18

Agree with LR, especially if you don't have the space.

Pie sounds nice. I've been slow cooking a tomato, courgette and parika sauce to have wth spinach and ricotta tortellni. I am trying to wait a bit longer to cook or I'll be hungry again this evening but I would like it Right Now.

mollyroger · 28/03/2009 17:39

oh those pies look divine...what's the chicken, spinach, lentil and bacon one like? I am sending dh out for one tomorrow!!

I am drinking an infusion of thyme, honey and lemon. It tastes so vile, it MUST be doing some good.

Carrot sticks
Spring onion
Banana
OJ

Stir fry for tea so, bean sprouts, shitake mushrooms, baby sweetcorn, mange touts, peppers, onion, carrot.

SuperBunny · 28/03/2009 18:01

Ok, will sell. Thanks!

Get well soon Molly, sounds vile

Pie sounds good. Am hungry.

littlerach · 28/03/2009 18:51

I had a quiche, spinch I think.
V nice.

Molly, am veggie!

Had a vege pie last time. I fancy the butternut one.

FrayedKnot · 28/03/2009 18:59

Pies..pies...mmm

I am going to make a pie for lunch tomorrow.

I think there was a recipe for one in the New Vegetarian bit in the Guardian today. I love Yottam Ottalenghi's recipes. I think I've wittered on about them before.

DS seems to be better afetr sleeping for 13 hours last night

Guadalupe · 28/03/2009 19:00

I quite like thyme, honey and lemon.

Dinner was okay. Not worth the slow cooking effort, would have preferred pesto really but it's two extra points.

FrayedKnot · 28/03/2009 19:03

Sorry people are feeling poorly btw. You'd hope all the colds had gone now but the weather isn;t helping I suppose.

Franny I get that with bras. M&S never have my size.

pinkspottywellies · 28/03/2009 19:49

I went to M&S when I was pg and they don't do anything non-wired in a 32 So I'm not even going to attempt to find a nursing bra in there.

HUGE stir fry for tea. Carrot, cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, baby corn, pepper, green beans. Friends were here so they stayed and I had to make it stretch to 2 more people and do 2 jacket potatoes for the children. Luckily I'd just made 2 apple crumbles - 1 for the freezer, so I threw them in as well. So apple and the stir fry has to count for 3.

Early night again ready for 5am start for Grand Prix. Don't forget the clocks go forward tonight!

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2009 20:06

bunny i would not sell it if you don't want to sell it
but it is probably more practical to do so

just got boys to bed after meal out went a bit wrong
we booked for 5.30 as we all have little children, but they didn't have our table ready, and then the food took ages to come - at 6.50 finally it arrived! we wanted to be away by then really
so all chomping madly to finish, babies crying, no time for pudding or a coffee
oh well
they knocked something off the bill and we live and learn

pinkspottywellies · 28/03/2009 20:08

Oh Franny that sounds crappy. You should've come to mine - we were feeding the 5000 anyway It was chaos here!

mollyroger · 28/03/2009 20:46

ok, so I've still got he puter on but all the lights are off, the boys have got glow sticks and it's all rather pretty!
