For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pinkspottywellies · 10/03/2009 19:25

Oh. My. God. Growth spurt

I don't remember dd doing this. I am exhausted and starving. I've just had dinner and now I'm going to eat my own weight in crackers and pate and cheese.

Good day again

Group was odd because teacher was away and the lady doing it is the one who's class I want to move to and she said stop telling him to sit down and let him run and she was great and I love her but her class is full so I will wait to love her.

Lost another 5 1/2 pounds but don't feel particularly pleased about it. Don't know why.

About to make tofu stir-fry. Have eaten other stuff.

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2009 19:38

TooT i am going to see a wizard tomorrow, did you see that bit? i blame you entirely for this
she wants to test ds2's hair which as boco found out, is bollocks
what else will she do? sell us her wee or something? i am intending to go in wearing my bad science rationalist hat but will probably just fling myself at her feet sobbing "save my baby"

Leader said, hooray, you have lost a stone in two weeks. I said, really, I know my maths is bad but I don't think I have. She looked again and said oh no, I have added it up wrong and then she peeled one of my silver seven stickers back off.

Guadalupe · 10/03/2009 19:40

Lol at Franny and the wizard. Watch out for frogs.

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2009 19:41

TigerFeet · 10/03/2009 19:47

Oh no! Silver sticker denied!

Franny I hope the wizard wee helps. I understand your anxiety being a bit of a fretter myself. DH likes to have solutions and flails madly and mentions AD's if I get upset about something that doesn't have an immediate solution. It doesn't help.

Pink I have serious cheese & pate

Wombling are you there? You are lovely, you always ask after me. MS is receding slowly, I can manage normal days activity wise although I'm ready for bed by 9pm, eating still not great but much better.

Sorry about MIL FairLady, sounds like the best decision has been made but I can see how that would be hard.

Hoohumber

Vegetable soup (from a tin)

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 19:47

Franny, it should be a proper long consultation with details about everything. ideally, because you are bf, ds2 should be treated through you because you are still "one" iyswim.
She should give you one dose of a single remedy then you should have to provide updates after 24 hours, maybe 48, then a week, 2 weeks, then 4.

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 19:48

I am slightly at the hair testing. Test it how?

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 19:52

Be really firm about the single remedy bit. Ask questions.

Thereis a proper good one in London who is v good with children.

Boco · 10/03/2009 20:24

Hair stuff might not be bollocks, I just pointed out the bits that said it was.

TigerFeet · 10/03/2009 20:27

How's dd today Boco?

Guadalupe · 10/03/2009 20:31

I'm not depressed, just a bit preoccupied with things and then I had to race off as dh was going out.

I have noticed my skin being really dry, my hands look a bit wrinkly. I think that must be fat as I normally eat a lot of seeds/fish/avocado/olive oil but these are mega points. I've made sure I eat more of those the last few days.

My reply to your anxiety is qute long, Franny, think I will email you about it.

mollyroger · 10/03/2009 20:32

I hate How to grow your own drugs. I t is my Book. It is! I was going to write a book called kitchen witch on how to heal yourself with cookery. but never got past reaearch stage. And that git stole it from me!

mollyroger · 10/03/2009 20:35

I wrote out a lengthy email franny. But have deleted it. I need to think about what I want to say again. So in the mean time, allow me to give you a vitural hug gentle arm squeeze.
