A Quango, a Quango, it made me eat the mango - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hi LR.......

I have read the thread but my brain doesn't retain information so I can't remember what is happening to whom at the moment, so hope you are OK.

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 10/03/2009 14:58

Spots....aftershave dries them up pretty quickly.

FairLadyRantALot · 10/03/2009 15:04

isn't toothpaste meant to work on spots?

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 10/03/2009 15:07

and pile cream

FairLadyRantALot · 10/03/2009 15:13

NIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

BOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

ABetaDad · 10/03/2009 15:16

Not sure about toothpaste but mouthwash works on spots. Rub it on well with cotton wool before bed and in the morning.

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 10/03/2009 15:16

I have 100's book..

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 10/03/2009 15:17

Ooohh...are you just popping in or thinking about joining us?

pinkspottywellies · 10/03/2009 15:18

Franny. Sorry I can't think of anything useful to say.

We have ds's (third ) hearing test on Fri and are having a babysitter nightmare for dd. We have plenty of options but none are really working out ok. Now got great-nan doing it but have to drop her 20 mins in the opposite direction at the beautician where great-nan is sure she'll sit and play nicely and not require her attention!! It will be fine and she might have an auntie to help too. Tis just not ideal! But we're lucky to have options I know.

I ate 10 yest and went for a walk. Also walked today and I'm on about 4 I think.

Sorry, I've read the thread but haven't got the brains to comment on stuff. Boco and avi hope dd and ds are ok. Honey, it sounds pretty awful at the minute but you will come out the other side.

When's Guad's next weigh in?

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 10/03/2009 15:57

I love my Mum....

littlerach · 10/03/2009 16:11

Toothpaste dries them out too much.

Will look for aftershave (Dh is away though).

No mouthwash.

Have been using sudeocreme which is quite good.

I look like a teenager agian (but with lines and wrinkles).

FrayedKnot · 10/03/2009 16:12

Hello

Clementine
Kiwis
Leaves
Pepper
Cucumber

This always happens. I read everyone's posts and then I get asked for drinks and food and I have to go away and then I come back and I've forgotten things so I have to start over

Back later

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 16:51

LR, I have a spot too. We should meet up and compare.

Atilla, has your mum done something lovely?

Fairlady for your mil.

Love to Pink.

Hello FK.

Vibes to Franny.

And appropriate stuff to everybody else.

I have an odd sore on my leg. I don't know what it is.

TigerFeet · 10/03/2009 16:59

Sorry

no time to post

There was a parcel outside my front door when I got home last night from Mr Amazon with this BOOK in it (in a plant pot alongside some cat shit hope it wasn't a review )

At work so will catch up properly later if I don't get sidetracked again

Love to all of you. Lots of us need it atm.

SuperBunny · 10/03/2009 17:26

Ugh, life is hard

Hope everyone is ok.

Stir fry (black beans, corn, green bean, carrot)
Juice

My DS made me smile today as he gobbled his lunch and said. 'Please mummy, may I have some more tofu?' How many 3 yrs olds ask for extra tofu?!

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 17:32

Hugs for SB.

My dd2 recently ran around the house shouting for "hummous and tomato and yummy yummy hoohumber"

SuperBunny · 10/03/2009 17:34

Hmm, is she responsible for the missing hoohumber, I wonder. Mine won't eat tomatoes so I am impressed that your DD will. They are much closer in age than I realised.

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 17:38

Hmm, maybe...

Yes, I thought your ds was older for some reason.

Neither of my boys will eat tomatoes

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 10/03/2009 17:49

No, my mum is just lovely.....

Sorry life is hard SB....hugs..

I like 'hoohumber' DD is addicted to it. She can get through one a day.

The sore on your leg Toot...I bit you....sorry.

Onion,
banana,
juice,
tomatoe,
It is eating full stop that I am struggling with at the moment. I did a thread last week complaining that people kept calling me skinny, and weighed myself last night and had lost half a stone.....

Guadalupe · 10/03/2009 17:55

That must cost you a fortune, they are so expensive atm.

Weigh-in shortly.

Franny - am still composing reply

Builders are fucking me off today, apparently the electrician is holding them up, not the plumber who has hardly been, but the electrician who comes every night. Except, the plumber is their mate Dave. And the electrician is our mate. Yawn. They are old moany women.

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 18:03

Are moany old women cheaper than hairy men?

Atilla

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 18:04

If I bit somebody I would leave TooTmarks.

FrannyandZooey · 10/03/2009 18:30

oh i like hoohumbers and tootmarks
thanks again everyone

Me again

Apparently only 15% of women eat 5+ f&v a day

TooTicky · 10/03/2009 19:09

Do you hold a current sticker license?
