For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Is the book available to purchase in the shops yet?

ahundredtimes · 02/03/2009 20:54

Why are you nervous? LOL

It's weird isn't it?

Pink - yes of course, I would email you but I don't have your address, sorry.

FK - I don't know! I thought Thursday was D-day but dh saw in the window of a bookshop today and again But not in the big W.

Ooooh what will happen? Will there be updates? Up to pg25 love it! pg 45 bit of a chore now pg.106 Oh FGS! As if.

I think it might tell on my nerves if there are these kind of updates. I might be sick or something. What if there is silence? Just an awful quiet polite silence and it becomes the great big shaming elephant in the 10/10 hall?

It's dreadful and delicious all at once.

pinkspottywellies · 02/03/2009 21:04

Thanks ahundred - TooT's just linked on FB for me. Will go and order now!

Boco · 02/03/2009 21:12

Aww, it's so nice, remember when you came on all drunk on champagne the night you heard that it was going to be published? And now we're all buying it. You might have to take compliments about it without punching people though, can you do that?

Sorry, had to go and read to dc. (Am doing quite a weird round at the minute: Well Done Naughtiest Girl, Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire, The Strange Incident of The Dog in the Night. They begin to merge in my head and I end up thinking 'Golly, that was thrilling lacrosse and quidditch match with an odd backstory I can't quite follow, and here is my list of yellow things I noticed at the zoo.'

Yes, okay. There will be no punching, promise

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2009 21:37

did dh take a photo of the window? it's unreal isn't it? i'm going to show my mother when it arrives and say "an internet sprite my friend wrote this"

No, he thought it might be weird, but he rang me up. He said 'it's OUT HERE' and we both laughed nervously.

[laughs nervously too]

I don't know why we're nervous. I showed dp that amazon were sending it, and made him look at the cover, and laughed nervously. I don't know why. It's just exciting innit.

What's wrong with my ceps titles? Well, what about 'cepsual healing'? cepsual peeling? erg, maybe not that one.

I think I'll just stick with "I Want Your Ceps" thanks Boco

I'm excited too

I'm wondering whether it would be appropriate to run round the bookshop waving a copy above my head and squeaking.

I know that's what I'm going to feel like doing.

FrannyandZooey · 02/03/2009 21:55

i'm going to tell the postman when he brings it
i'm going to tell him "this is a book my friend wrote. my friend, that's right. i speak to her, on the internet. she's my friend."
then i'll hang around at the front door and wait for my neighbour to come out, and i'll tell her

Boco · 02/03/2009 21:57

lol, you're going to be making her itch franny.

Ooh speaking of things that make 100 uncomfortable, we saw a barn owl yesterday, really really close, flying in the field right by us - it was beautiful.

Um, well, I had a ride on the back of a golden eagle once! [competitive] [deranged]

Boco · 02/03/2009 22:02

WOW though at snowy owl! Where was it? what was it doing? I painted a snowy owl for someone once, I feel i have very precise knowledge of their feather patterns.

pointydog · 02/03/2009 22:10

I am really trying this week.

sultana bran (if some of you are mentioning humous, I wil mention sultanan bran)
broccoli soup
red peppers, spring ingins in stir fry
lettuce
cucumber
cress (a salad but wanted a longer list)
red pepper houmus (aha! the houmus card)

Soon I will consume a plum

ahundredtimes · 02/03/2009 22:13

lol @ [deranged]

I don't mind owls, they have width. I think I've said this before.

Look at Pointy's list. She's quite serious, what with the plum all lined up for afters and everything.

pointydog · 02/03/2009 22:19

I have bought so much fruit and veg I am worrying about being able to eat it all. I don't like waste.

Boco · 02/03/2009 22:21

what are ingins? they are like engines? You get points deducted for eating metal.
