For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Also, TooT, my sd's report (she is 16 so older) commented on her attendance (or lack of) and requested that she attend more.

I watched the film 'you me and everyone we know' last night, has anyone seen it? slightly excruciating.

Bbee's letter is good. toot it always sounds rude, but these letters are just sent in order to tick boxes like bee said. I think if you're cross about it you should reply, and speak to form tutor because maybe that'll make you feel better about it all.

I got breakfast in bed and a lie in today, not sure why [suspicious] and dp making homemade bread and generally cheerfully bustling.

I was eavesdropping the girl's game and dd1 said to dd2 'right, you be an old lady-boy who lives in the bushes'.
I'm not familiar with this game.

FairLadyRantALot · 25/01/2009 11:59

lol Boco....that sounds an odd game!

FrannyandZooey · 25/01/2009 12:13

it's stopped raining here so i think we have to go out to the epic soy sauce and ketchup battle
i am not kidding

I think I shall hire Bee and LR to sort out all school affairs for me

Hey, guess what!!! There appeared to be signs of somebody sluicing himself this morning AND as it has transpired that dp will be the one to take ds1 to hosp on Friday to have his teeth out, I said, " You'd better change your clothes as well. You cannot turn up at a hospital, as a responsible parent, smelling like THAT!"
I really did!
And he has.
So we can breathe a little for a few days.

MauriceDancer · 25/01/2009 12:20

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 12:25

Look, I have a note here. It says my brain doesn't actually work. I have to be told things and people have to explain jokes and everything.

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 12:29

It is raining on the washing. Fuck. I have two loads out there, including essential school stuff, another in the machine containing all my underwear and a pile of pure rancid evil on the kitchen floor.

FairLadyRantALot · 25/01/2009 12:36

Toot...glad you are having a few days of easy breathing ahead!
And argh at it raining on the washing....that always happens to me, hence I rarely ever hang anything out.
