For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Interesting link Franny....

I am making a curry tomorrow. I might follow a recipe for a change.
no to watching Victorian House.

I have Tarrentino's last film to watch after DC's have settled. I sit and paint while TV is on. I am at a stage in painting where I actually get 'excited'. All the bones come together. And the next picture takes form in my head.

Stretching a new piece of paper is like waking up to fresh snow.

oh you've reminded me, ds has some crackling bath salts (from that wondrous wood toy website we love) whuih we haven't played with yet!

TWF - wish I lived nearer, I'd love to ramble on moors with you.

Guad, I expect we'll do some canal boat trips and camping but the boys crave festival freedom. Sigh.

And Rofl at Franny..........lets not go there!!

I think 'men' are great really, and know some terrific ones.

TinyWhiteFeather · 24/01/2009 20:04

Oh Molly, that sounds fab......maybe one day.

TinyWhiteFeather · 24/01/2009 20:06

Guadalupe · 24/01/2009 20:08

Ds2 just slipped on his trousers that I am always asking him to pick up off his bedroom floor and he put his head through his bedroom window.

There is always something. I have run out of steri-strips and the chemist is closed so he will just have to have a scar. Tis in hairline anyway.

Yes, yes, I know his head is more important but it was really old glass. Now I have to tape it up.

FrannyandZooey · 24/01/2009 20:09

oh guad
oh dear

I love those living history progs, anyone watching the Victorian farm?

I always feel I wish I had applied to be on one....

Oh god, I'll be one of those red-cheeked wimmin in dodgy civil war costume on a sealed Knot site before you know it

mollyroger · 24/01/2009 20:11

sheee-it Guad! Is he ok?

{trying not to laugh inappropriately at the slipping on trouser-ness} That's how ds chipped his elbow. tripping on stairs on stuff I told him a million times to put away...

Guadalupe · 24/01/2009 20:14

He's fine. Dh is finding my lack of concern and sympathy quite shocking but tbh you just get to a point sometimes don't you, where you just sigh and mosey on over to the first aid box.

FrannyandZooey · 24/01/2009 20:15

i feel i would go down rather well in mediaeval times, striding through the woods with a basket of turnips or something
then i think of dirt, disease, cold, bad food, poverty
and no dentists

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 24/01/2009 20:16

lol at turnips.

I feel an affinity with the 12th century myself.

FrannyandZooey · 24/01/2009 20:16

i did raise eyebrows at the "it was old glass" LOL

sorry if I put my foot in it TWF, I just wanted you to know I have been thinking about you.

mollyroger · 24/01/2009 20:18

I had a scrumptious medievial wedding dress....

I always want to live in whatever period I am reading about. Even when they live on turnips for six months in minue 20 temps, i think ''I could do that, doesn't sound so bad''
