For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Thank you so much for the title. I was having a hard time remembering which Christmas song my stocking holders played, and it was driving me crazy, and I wasn't going to climb into the attic with all the spiders to find out. I now remember it was Joy to the World.

Now my day can go on and be much better.

Rhubarb, juice, peach. But it is only 10:32 here.

Good thing sweet potatoes count.

naswm · 06/01/2009 18:37

Rhubarb? where are you dooney?!

dooneygirl · 06/01/2009 18:38

I'm at home.

naswm · 06/01/2009 18:38

lol !

dooneygirl · 06/01/2009 18:41

Sorry, I make comments like that all the time. I can't help it.

I'm in Oregon. Rhubarb was cheap and plentiful at the farmer's market, and I froze a lot. Actually, I'm not sure if it should count, as it was in a coffee cake, and obviously needed sugar to be edible, but I plonked a whole lot in there, and ate quite a bit.

dooneygirl · 06/01/2009 18:43

The peach was also frozen, and thawed and had in a nice bowl of milk.

naswm · 06/01/2009 18:44

I am in no position to argue whether anyone's food items count dooney!! so dont worry!

FrannyandZooey · 06/01/2009 18:47

Half and half. Not sure if it is called something different there, so I said milk to be not confusing.

I have NO coke. Or nuts at the moment

naswm · 06/01/2009 18:55

wonders if I need to hide wine...

SuperBunny · 06/01/2009 18:56

No, half and half is half milk and half cream. Condensed milk is the same.

SuperBunny · 06/01/2009 18:56

No, no need to hide wine.

naswm · 06/01/2009 18:57

what is the point in half milk and half cream CB?!

littlerach · 06/01/2009 18:59

TooT, soemone was murdered there

I drove past this morning going to work and then looked it up on Wiltshire times website.

Hello everyone

SuperBunny · 06/01/2009 18:59

Half a stone is impressive, Franny. Is it bad that he put it on? Will he be able to lose it again? I need to lose weight but it doesn't seem to be shifting even when I run 3 times a week and eat nowt but F&V.

SuperBunny · 06/01/2009 19:00

Murder?

I don't understand half and half. I don't use it.

TooTicky · 06/01/2009 19:10
