We had peaches, we had plums, we had strawberries in the sun, but the peaches and the plums, like the strawberries are all gone - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Lovely pictures Fran, your ds2 looks so much bigger now just what kind of super norks do you have???

Boco · 01/09/2008 21:11

Only if you look at my cord!

The boys are looking more alike now - same mouth and chins, very handsome.

Overrun · 01/09/2008 21:17

Lovely photos Franny. I'm thanking my lucky stars that I don't have to pay out for monnogrammed track suits. It's bad enough with their sweaters and coats.

Not too bad today, went on to have lots of tomatoes, got to eat them up so we can get our toms in and let them ripen a bit inside, as all this rain is not helping them redden. Also had mixture of banana, satsuma, apple and pear at lunch.
Dinner veg wise consisted of broccili, dwarf beans and carrots.
Well impressed with other peoples intake, some people seem to eat very exotic things, but from memory I think not all of you live in the UK, is that right?

S1ur · 01/09/2008 21:25

Oh Oh Boco, I looked at your picture. It is fascinating and strange in equal measure.

It reminded me of my friends who have their dts placentas in their freezer. We went round recently and had our weekly shop in the boot, so asked if we could store our ice cream in their freezer for a bit. Friend agreed of course and directed us to the Big Freezer in the cellar, next to the placentas.

I have had lots of yummy f&v today mainly f actually. It was warm and sunny for a change so I made lots of fruit salad and have been munching apples, again, I am a bit sick of apples, I'm quite pleased the tree has been spent now.

FrayedKnot · 01/09/2008 21:30

Hello

I am drowing in paperwork..I cannot do it at this time of night. Not when it involves sums anyway. And c*nting nursery voucher websites that don;t let you log in when you are overdue paying a bill.

Have just filled in the myriad of forms required for DS to attend school. Uniform is sorted I think. have probably forgotten something vital. Have just read about providing an overall - just cut cuffs off a shirt and hem with elastic it says... easy in theory if you actually have some elastic and know the whereabouts of a needle & thread .

Lots of v but not much f. Pears were rock hard and nothing else in. Grrr.

FrayedKnot · 01/09/2008 21:33

Boys have cheered me up, Fran

TooTicky · 01/09/2008 21:47

Gorgeous bopys, Franny!!!! May they always love each other as they do now.

MrsC, a choir shirt? Are you serious?

Dd1's school is not posh, but are just bringing in a new uniform this Sept so possibly a little carried away. Also means it's not possible to get second hand bits.

FK, what day does ds start school? Is he looking forward to it? Will he be full time this term or after Christmas?

TooTicky · 01/09/2008 21:48

Boys I mean.

BBBee · 01/09/2008 21:49

boys are lovely - good cheeks and beautiful - ds2 changes every time I see him.

boco have up posted a picture of your umbilical cord?

FrannyandZooey · 01/09/2008 21:49

Oh Bero It is an emotional thing, isn't it?

I saw Lully dash in this morning, where's she gone?

I have eaten apples. Lots. About 5, I think. Was fab picking them but we got a bit carried away and it cost $15 Still, I shouldn't need to buy apples for several weeks

I was given a cello a couple of weeks ago and we got it out today. DS is mesmerized.

So, apples (5) tomatoes, juice, raisins = 8

BBBee · 01/09/2008 21:50

toot - yes sorry she is six - it would not work would it. i am not paying attention again.

TooTicky · 01/09/2008 21:50

How's it going Bero? Oh, I must email you. I will later on if I don't collapse.

TooTicky · 01/09/2008 21:51

Thanks for the thought Bee

SuperBunny · 01/09/2008 21:51

Oh yes, lovely boys

I have the clip and stub of DS's umbilical cord. Was packed for when I thought I'd be coming back to the UK. Wasn't entirely sure what customs would think of it if the searched the boxes

BBBee · 01/09/2008 21:53

link to cord threaad please - I think

FrannyandZooey · 01/09/2008 21:54

dp says I saved the clip and stump from ds1's cord
fuck knows where it is - ruddy revolting - must have been bonkers with hormones - I will find it one day and scream

Lovely pictures. I like the bedlinen as well as
the boys!

Toot - Yes, a choir shirt. It is just a polo shirt really but it's blue and has thingy wotsit music sign that I can't remember the name of. It's fucking irritating as we had only just bought the tie and shirt that they used to have to wear for choir and then they changed it, as well as the school jumpers. Used to be a lovely green now they are a vile blue.

Boco · 01/09/2008 21:57

here Bee Cord stump is even more gross, at least mine is properly preserved and not mouldering.

I don't like keeping teeth either. Do you think you have to? I really don't like teeth.

Guadalupe · 01/09/2008 21:59

I never keep teeth.

fishie · 01/09/2008 22:05

franny they are so lovely together. i love the way you yr ds1 is in the pics too, hands and expression. nice boy.

i am quite pea green. we'd all love another baby. alas no sign.

FrayedKnot · 01/09/2008 22:10

I found a tooth of mine t'other day.

TooT DS starts on MOnday, part-time for 3 weeks (afternoons).

He is very unsettled about it. Lots of needing to be with me at teh moment which is pretty hard since I have to go to work.

He cried when I went to the gym yesterday for an hour. I am feeling rather like a horrible old hag of a mother right now

MamaG · 01/09/2008 23:17

The F&Z boys are gorgeous and getting more and more alike - DS1 looks v cheeky on first pic.

My DS starts school tomorrow

Wish me strength not to embarrass him by running home with him in my arms at 9.15!

Tittybangbang · 01/09/2008 23:25

Your boys are scrummy F&Z.

V. impressed with your bump too. You're one of those women who don't look pregnant from the back, then turn round and shock the hell out of people with your giant pregnant tum.

Oh,
Half a bag of greens - shredded, dried, sprayed with a film of oil and turned into 'sea weed' in the oven (when crispy sprinkle with soft brown sugar and few drops of soy sauce - yum)
6 more tomatoes
broccoli
fried mushrooms
stewed apple
dried pineapple.

Lost count of how many I've had today. It's about 12. Good god. Hope there isn't a queue for the bog tomorrow morning when I get up.....

zippitippitoes · 02/09/2008 05:15
