For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooT so was it the loose stitch that was causing the pain? I am glad you are back home ok. Is there someone who can help you as a back up with the bus thing for when you are just too busy to deal with it? I should imagine having 4 dc those times would come up quite frequently, and as you say it was the last thing you needed last night...

FK I will email you.

UR still thinking unspeakable. I have never heard you utter a word against him, I don't know how.

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 08:50

oh I ate fruit forgot to do it in George III way

strawberries, melon, grapes, peach, raisins

did you know that the original play about the Madness of etc was called The Madness of George III, but when they did the film version they thought they had better call it The Madness of King George, otherwise some people (ie Americans) would think "well I am not going to see that, I didn't even see The Madness of George I or II yet"

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 09:47

UR - What a wanky pile of shite the US immigration law is and as for that, that, facinorous SOB, well, where is Greeny when you need a good insult.

You haven't mentioned any of this at all, shush about butting in, come and speak to as as soon as you can. xx

the only thing I can think is that when it actually comes to the crunch, the unspeakable will realise wtf he is doing and not go through with it
but presumably he has had plenty of time to think it over, and how anyone can even contemplate it is beyond me

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 10:33

I am envious of nothing actually, I was thinking the other day that when I didn't used to eat breakfast I was thinner.

We mustn't talk about thinnness here I know but,

some people, well, quite a lot of people put on 20 -30 pounds after a hysterectomy.

ahundredtimes · 27/05/2008 10:34

Oh am just being crap. Have drunk coffee though [perky]

I'll go and eat another tedious apricot now.

MrsCarrot · 27/05/2008 10:35

why don't you roast the apricots with some brown sugar and vanilla and put them in a sponge or crumble. Much nicer that way.

Did you make the carrots?

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 10:36

MrsC how does that work?

not eating breakfast does NOT make you thinner I don't care what anyone says
you are busy mother and need energy, plus it kickstarts your metabolism
I always eat enormous breakfast (yes I know I currently weigh loads)

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 10:37

I don't like apricots much at all

I've had 7 portions so far
I am tempted to go and eat some more just to show off and see if I can get to 10 before 11 am
but that would be silly
