For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ah but 100x, we have to talk about poo to cheer up UR. She requested it. It Is Our Duty

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 16:46

I like non-exitente
I thought you were being all Italian

sheeeeeeeee-it about the paint cupboard
I THINK ds is too dull and well behaved for that but you never know
I have told dp we are unlikely to get another sane one and we are going to get the shock of our lives
he leaves blinking power tools lying around everywhere becasue he knows ds probably won't touch them
we are doomed when the baby arrives

lazarou I am doing quite heavy and fast typing for about 2 hours a day
it's hard going but I can really see the difference in the shape of my knuckles, especially the forefingers

Hello Lazarou
I am probably not the best example as far as exercise goes. I tend to walk a lot, sometimes carrying dd2 on my back, sometimes pushing a heavy buggy, frequently uphill.
It's quite hard to exercise with children. Well, I find it so. I tend to run up the stairs, but that is habit not virtue.

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 16:47

100 you are so not poo phobic
you can only pick one Thing and it is Birds
you would not last 2 mins on this thread if you were poo phobic
and how can you have 3 children and that comedy dp and be poo phobic? I will not entertain the idea

Dd1 once had a purple paint incident - she had it in her bedroom and painted almost everything. We were finding purple bits on things for months years.

ahundredtimes · 27/05/2008 16:53

Yes, it was like a helicopter had landed in a paint pot. She is not learning through play, she destructs through play. She cuts things up, and sellotapes everything and milk whisks paint. She is very annoying really. And not in the least bit sensible.

So am poo phobic. Am, am, am.

You can't talk about it because of my finer feelings. [folds arms]

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 16:54

where are they?

Oh yes Pink HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

TooT please don't apologise! I am ok with poo. In fact when I was pregnant, I made a pact with dp that I would deal with the poo if he dealt with the other... doesn't quite work like that though does it

lazarou · 27/05/2008 16:56

Well, I've got the typing and the running up and down the stairs covered.

May just go for a run in the evening but don't want to get raped and pillaged (sp?)

Maybe I will find a yoga class I can drag my friend along to

dp and I have a pact
he deals with loofahs
I deal with flying things

it does work fairly well actually
however of course ds is now slightly scared of both

ahundredtimes · 27/05/2008 17:01

Who deals with wildlife or scurrying thing?

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 17:01

ah you're alright 100
I prescribe a desensitisation treatment
you can watch Gillian Mc Keith whenever possible and I will send you my daily poo bulletin

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 27/05/2008 17:01

I do loofahs, he does everything else. He doesn't like loofahs. He is terrified comedy husband about them.

FrannyandZooey · 27/05/2008 17:03

what like mice? dp and the man from the council
dealt with those buggers totally effectively, didn't they?

oh I DO like your dh 100
can't you send HIM to a meet up, even if YOU won't come?

OP posts:
TooTicky · 27/05/2008 17:08

We had a cockchafer inside recently. It was extraordinary.

ahundredtimes · 27/05/2008 17:10

Oh FGS what is a cockchafer? Are you making it up?

I will ask him Fra. He can come and sigh and look woebegone.

TooTicky · 27/05/2008 17:11

As I'm among friends, could I just ask in a quiet and unobtrusive way what you all do about your armpits? Mine have been persistently and insistently potent for at least a year and short of using Jeyes fluid I don't see what I can do about them.

TooTicky · 27/05/2008 17:12

cockchafer
