For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Blue huh? What shade of blue? Is that you just being polite because really you wanted to say 100 you are black, black black?

Well. The room is raspberry ish. Now I like raspberry v. much and indeed have a raspberry pink rubber bathroom floor as you may remember. But it's just so sort of all-over-the-room. I find it too intense. I murmmured something polite, not 'oh my god you will go mad' and everyone said 'it'll look fine with furniture.'

It probably will. Raspberry, you see, raspberry.

Ah yes, like blue/black ink? I remember buying that my mistake at school for my ink pen, and being quite fascinated to see it coming out so sort of dirge-like and sophisticated, when I'd been expecting a Right Royal Blue.

BBBee · 03/05/2008 22:07

Van Gogh said orange was the colour of madness. I think he has a point. If you stare at orange long enough it does start to make your brain bend.

Boco · 03/05/2008 22:12

Bruce Springsteen was just on the TV, on High Fidelity. And then a Bob record. Bruce didn't look too smelly actually.

FrannyandZooey · 03/05/2008 22:12

ds has been obsessed with orange since he was a baby
my kitchen is orange
I love it because of that Brian Keenan bit I am always banging on about

Evening all.

sorry to hear Mrsc having a hard time, lots of hope that tomorrow brings better time

Why are talking colours. Am I a colour? Oooh thank you thnak you for comments about dress. I am very happy.

I have a horrible cold. My colour may be snot-coloured possibly. I can't breathe. Bah.

Went to toddler party today and ate lots of very nice salads and fruits and litttle sandwiches. All lovely.

Tatties · 03/05/2008 22:14

Slur you are dark red

FrannyandZooey · 03/05/2008 22:14

here, any excuse to quote:

"But wait. My eyes are almost burned by what I see. There?s a bowl in front of me that wasn?t there before. A brown button bowl and in it some apricots, some small oranges, some nuts, cherries, a banana. The fruits, the colours, mesmerise me in a quiet rapture that spins through my head. I am entranced by colour. I lift an orange into the flat filthy palm of my hand and feel and smell and lick it. The colour orange, the colour, the colour, my God the colour orange. Before me is a feast of colour. I feel myself begin to dance, slowly. I am intoxicated by colour. I feel the colour in a quiet somnambulist rage. Such wonder, such absolute wonder in such an insignificant fruit."

shall we have that as our next title?
