For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

lullabyloo · 13/04/2008 21:17

lullabyloo · 13/04/2008 21:18

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:29

have removed head from arse re: blonde thing
i once locked a nine-year-old who was throwing things and being very very aggressive in the toilet
I was totally desperate and failing
when I unlocked the door after five minutes he refused to come out for another hour
it was
can i say thanks to those posting sympathetically about my ds the other day
things have improved beyond measure
so glad that through all the horrible times in the past we kept talking and talking during the good moments
it has paid off hugely

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:30

i mean me and my ds talking and talking! not me and mn crowd.. was not an mn-er in those days

UnderRated · 13/04/2008 21:32

I haven;t seen that thread.

Should I have soaked my barley if I want to make a risotto from it?

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:34

no idea UR .. am certainly barley risotto virgin

UnderRated · 13/04/2008 21:36

Glad things are better, stuffit. Locking a child in the toilet sounds but I have had to do the same kind of thing. Or wrestle them to the ground. It was my job.

pinkspottywellies · 13/04/2008 21:38

I've just seen the leaving 5 yr old alone thread.

I've also had a banana.

pinkspottywellies · 13/04/2008 21:39

Lully will know about the barley risotto.

Is someone going to start a new thread? Where's Franny? Did we give her leave?

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:40

lol UR

it was my job

arf

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:41

zippi is making me rofl again about premature ejaculation
easily made 10 today
perhaps franny is recovering in a darkened room

UnderRated · 13/04/2008 21:43

Zippi is ejaculating?

We must have had similar jobs, Stuffit - I can't imagine many where people have to do that. I loved it. It was scary but I miss it.

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:45

my gosh -- you mean it really WAS your job? I thought you meant it was your job as a mother..

hence the arf-ing..

stuffitllama · 13/04/2008 21:46

I haven't done it again.. it's not a habit.. it was awful.. I really don't take it lightly don't think that

UnderRated · 13/04/2008 21:52

Oh, lol. Yes, it was my real paid job. Never locked DS in a room although he does wrestle me to the floor

FrannyandZooey · 13/04/2008 21:58
