Anyone want to join me in a very easy peasy diet?

Im on hols in June so that is my incentive. Beginning of December I went of a cut down diet. All I did, was after my main meal at night, I ate.... NOTHING. No picking... chocolate, biscuits, popcorn (dont we love our popcorn on MN? , crisps....nothing. Oh and no pudding!

I lost nearly 1/2 stone just by not picking.

I ate what I liked during the day, biscuit, chocolate... what ever I liked, but just stopped at night.

I have to say, I did go to bed a little bit hungry, but felt so gooooooood the next day, especially as by the end of the first week my stomach had gone down considerably, and by the second week my clothes felt looser.

Who wants to join me? anyone?

DMM - hugs and sympathy. We really do have our hands full, dont we! Us mums. Are our frames really built to cope with parenting like this I ask myself often! But then, the answer has to be yes, else mankind would not exist, or we would all be orphans as parents would have kicked us all out at birth sort of thing.

Jam on trackies. No sleep. Have you had any you time of late DMM? I expect not. But do we ever really get much 'us' time, ever?

I feel for you my love. Hang on in there, sleep will return.

gscrym - no answers tbh. I dont bother with the BMI stuff, even though we have some fancy scales that will tell you if you wanted it too. Its bad enough coping with weight loss, let alone body fat. Thinking about it, if you lose weight - isnt that body fat? so the two should go hand in hand. Darn it! I dont know.

Come away from it gscrym. Just weigh yourself. and dont forget if you weigh yourself on new scales like in Tesco, their flooring maybe diff to yours. I bet if you buy them and take them home and place them on the exact spot you have alwasy weighed yourself on, then you will get back to your normal reading.

I think / hope

No change this week, so total of 2lbs loss still.

peachygirl · 25/06/2008 12:29

I was 8.11 and 1/4 today, so a little gain.
I may opt out this week due to not having a kitchen and having to survive on eating out and takeaways.
I didn't opt out the week before when I said I would. It may depend on whether or not I gain
They have said it should be finished today ... but we shall see.
We went to Pizza express last night and I made a 'good choice' a roasted veg and chicken salad. Very nice

Wolfgirl · 25/06/2008 12:58

OK Peachy. for what its worth Ive only had half a kitchen for nearly 3 years. Im sooooooo hoping DH pulls his finger out and gets it sorted by Christmas. that would be a nice present!

peachygirl · 25/06/2008 19:52

Wolfgirl It should be complete except for a bit of floor tile and the walltiles. It isn't finished but it is looking good. Sawdust everywhere though.
We went to the pub today. I wasn't so healthy Steak and chips, very yummy, though I can't remember when I last had that.

Wolfgirl · 30/06/2008 09:20

Morning ladies! Long time no hear from anyone! I took a sneak peak this morning at the scales, and I think tomorow is gonna be a good one.

OP posts:
peachygirl · 30/06/2008 21:24

Finished! I got my hob back this morning. I'm really pleased with it, but my house is still a tip with bits of kitchen equipment everywhere

Wolfgirl · 30/06/2008 21:25

awwwrrr... Im really pleased for you. I'll let you know when mine gets started. Its only been 3 years of having half a kitchen in dinner and the half in the hall. DH sees no hurry of course. I cant bear anotehr Christmas without it. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrghhhhhhhhhhh

peachygirl · 30/06/2008 21:30

I'm nagging DH for some shelves in the next few weeks.. He is on holiday and is very good at shelves. I will keep my fingers and saucepans crossed for you

Wolfgirl · 01/07/2008 09:13

Im so sorry ladies, my Outlook at home is playing up. I did try to send the Spreadsheet last night, but again it sat in the Out box complaining of too many syntax errors.

I will try again tonight. BUT.... for the record, I'm on the move downwards for ONCE! I thought Id lost more than I had when I took a sneak peak yesterday, but must have mis-read the reading. Thought Id lost a good 4lb, but it has only been 2lb. I think. Can someone convert 88.6kg into stones, cos whatever that is.... thats what I am!

OP posts:
gscrym · 01/07/2008 09:46

I'm off out today so I'll have a go on Tescos scales when I'm there. I'll just have to send my details as I still haven't got excel on this computer after it's meltdown.

Wolfgirl · 01/07/2008 10:10

Hugs and sympathy gscrym.... I know all about it at the mo LOL

duomonstermum · 01/07/2008 13:11

hello lades!!! ok i have been veeeeerrry bad this last week i was out nearly every night since i last checked in......eating loads of crap as well as drinking......

in my defense, it has been a weird week when lots of uni friends have been over (what are they up to??? it's enough to make a girl paranoid....) so we've been catching up in the evenings when we've all gotten rid of babysitters for the kids. DH drove me to drink!!! god i hope he goes back to work soon! i can't keep the pace anymore.......

sooooo i only put on 1 lb!!! which was rather good

duomonstermum · 01/07/2008 13:12

Hi all sounds like we all had a funny week last week. I'm really pleased that I stayed the same since we ate out twice and I missed a couple of breakfasts.
I really want to try hard to lose a pound this week as then it will be half a stone for me.

Salad here I come
