Anyone want to join me in a very easy peasy diet?

Im on hols in June so that is my incentive. Beginning of December I went of a cut down diet. All I did, was after my main meal at night, I ate.... NOTHING. No picking... chocolate, biscuits, popcorn (dont we love our popcorn on MN? , crisps....nothing. Oh and no pudding!

I lost nearly 1/2 stone just by not picking.

I ate what I liked during the day, biscuit, chocolate... what ever I liked, but just stopped at night.

I have to say, I did go to bed a little bit hungry, but felt so gooooooood the next day, especially as by the end of the first week my stomach had gone down considerably, and by the second week my clothes felt looser.

Who wants to join me? anyone?

I'll give it a go too! Would really like to lose a stone before the summer. Eating on an evening is always my downfall so some moral support would be great.

suedonim · 18/03/2008 16:00

This is a great idea! I've been getting rather porky and since January I've stopped snacking during the day (I never really snack in evenings, lol!) and stopped having cakes etc if I have a coffee when I'm out.

I'm not sure exactly how much I've lost due to using different scales at home and in Nigeria but I definitely feel a bit thinner. I'll be home this week so the Time of Reckoning is coming up fast.

Can I sneak in too? I've been wondering about joinng one of the diet threads. I'm a big evening picker and generally should eat better. I have about 1/2 stone of baby weight to lose. I have summer trousers I would like to fit into!

kingprawntikka · 18/03/2008 21:24

Hi everyone. Well for tea i had cold roast beef , pasta in tomato sauce and 1 slice of garlic bread, half a yorkie bar and some fruit. The yorkie bar was by default really, cos my gluten/wheat intolerant son had bought it, and then found the recipe had changed and he couldn't eat it.I will do better tomorrow!!

duomonstermum · 18/03/2008 21:26

hey can i join in too? (she asks as she shoves the last bit of choccy)

SusieHughsie · 18/03/2008 21:31

SusieHughsie · 18/03/2008 21:32

Sorry missed out a letter on my email address, it's: [email protected]

Thank you,

Showmeheaven · 18/03/2008 21:32

Wolfgirl, I'm stunned to hear you lost 1/2 stone by doing something so simple

Having tried every diet previously known to man .... it would be amazing to be able to lose weight by making this simple change.

I don't eat a lot at night anyway but I always have a cuppa & a bit of chocolate and the only day I allow myself pudding is after Sunday Lunch.

But the odd time I haven't ate after 6pm I have felt so much lighter the next day, so I think your idea makes a lot of sense.

THANK YOU FOR SHARING (((((BIG HUG)))))

duomonstermum · 18/03/2008 21:33

my email is [email protected]

finished the last bit of choccy so will now solemnly vow not to snack any more!

bozza · 18/03/2008 21:38

Right me too. Think I weigh about 11 stone 18 months ago this was probably more like 9 and a half. My email is liz dot b26 at hotmail dot co dot uk.

I am going to not eat after my evening meal which is usually 6ish and will have fruit but no other puddings. And try and drink more water...

ChirpyGirl · 18/03/2008 21:39

Hello? Can I play too? I really need to lose at least an inch off my waist before my hols so I cna wear my lovely new baby carrier as it doesn't quite do up!

We eat at 5 with DD's so that would be it for me, but can I have juice do you think? or just lemonade/water to drink?

ChirpyGirl · 18/03/2008 21:44

Have CATted you!

SummerC · 18/03/2008 21:50

Considering I just polished off a whole pack of Oreos, could I join in too? But, do I really have to post my weight on here? Oh lord...my dd is 12 weeks old and I have done nothing but eat since she was born. I'm HUGE!

And please don't take this personally nbg but I hate you! hehe

SummerC · 18/03/2008 21:50

oops...email is summer dot cashmore at ntlworld dot com

duomonstermum · 18/03/2008 21:54

damn. all this talk of food is making me munchy.... n...e...e...d wi~llpow~er

ScoobyDoo · 18/03/2008 21:59

Ok me i am in i could do with losing some weight & i like picking at night so this is perfect for me.

I eat with the kids about 5-6pm so will not be eating after that, will drink lots of water instead.

Wolfgirl · 18/03/2008 22:09

chirpyGirl - not had anything through just yet, if it doesnt arrive by tomorrow night, I will contact MNHQ cos Ive had probs with my CAT before, not receiving that is.

Oh and re your questions: Yes you can drink, but fizzy/sugary drinks.... nope! you can have a glass of wine, or whatever with your meal. Your meal can be as much as you can eat. But then that really is it. Nothing till breakfast time.

showmeheaven I love this name! Yes, it was fabulous. My sister came for christmas and hadnt seen me in 3 maybe 4 weeks, and she was flabergasted. Unfortunately, I was way tooooooo weak over the festive season, and slowly it went back on. BUT, its coming off again.

I generally eat good food, but like EVERYONE pretty much on this thread, its the evenings.... darn them!
