For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco. I used to think it was a settee too, but the darns bit is something else..

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2008 09:15

ds has been asking all week what a "boggin" is and can he have one
unable to provide any context at all except "it is in Mrs Pepperpot"
it finally turns out to be a toboggan

any ideas for a small nice easter present for eccentric nearly 5 year old
(oh I forgot to mention he insisted on going to demo yesterday wearing welding goggles - THAT will look good in the paper )

I have got nice Astrid Lindgren book about an easter hunt, and need something else smallish that is more exciting than a book but not actually a plastic toy

Something exciting to plant? Or an actual plant? A strawberry bush of his own or something?

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2008 09:24

ooh had not thought of that
no garden centres in town though (which is where I am going )
v good idea thank you TooT
(however what will survive this ruddy snow I am now set for? I am worried the easter bunny is going to catch pneumonia)

cress seeds? you could do them in egg shells and draw faces.

new pencils (I loved new pencils when I was little)

DD says a goldfish which DS has modified for you into a special container to put some frog spawn in and then he can draw the life cycle.

Infact I think DCs ideas are much better than mine.

BBBee · 21/03/2008 09:33

(but not overly exciting for the end of a treasure hunt i guess)

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2008 09:39

I got quite a lot of seeds for Christmas - god we must plant some of them [panic]

I like dd's and ds's idea but I don't absolutely understand it I must admit
also am scared of frogspawn

I know what he wants, he wants this giant fluffy rabbit which is piled high in Sainsburys and selling for a fiver labelled 'manager's special'. But I feel manipulated into buying it by ruddy sainsburys' crude sales tactics and pester power. They should have hidden it in a corner for me to discover the wondrous bargain, then I would have bought it

these are just going to be things to have by his bed when he wakes up Bee
there are chocolate eggs and resin eggs for the hunt but the chcocolate ones have not turned up yet grrrr ruddy eBay

BBBee · 21/03/2008 09:41

my friend has a gold plastic rabbit - it is lovely.

BBBee · 21/03/2008 09:42

papa don't peach isn't eastery is it. I find it frustrating that I can;t really do this vegetable song title thing.

Boco · 21/03/2008 09:43

papaya don't peach

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2008 09:44

papaya don't peach is not at all eastery but is quite funny

we can have it next week, if we can think of an eastery thing for now

TooTicky · 21/03/2008 09:46

I have juszt hung out the ashing and the wind was ICY and I had to keep stopping and squeezing my fingers until I could feel them again. Am supposed to be going out but I can't feel my toes yewt. What is good for circulation apart from ginger and not gettinbg cold in the first place?

BBBee · 21/03/2008 09:46

i love you boco - you are my sunshine today - I have declared you such.

TooTicky · 21/03/2008 09:47

My typing is getting worse.

Boco · 21/03/2008 09:52

lol Bee that's funny and kind of ironic. I'm terribly grumpy this morning and not at all sunshiney. Have even started an AIBU thread, and I'm trying hard not to get involved in dd's craft activities because I don't WANT to make an Easter bonnet.

BBBee · 21/03/2008 09:52

your fingers are numb toot

TooTicky · 21/03/2008 09:56

My fingers are opkay now but my toes HURT SO MUCH. My toes always hurt in the winter and they are REALLY BAD now. Agony when people step on them, which is several times a day.

ladywombling · 21/03/2008 09:59

Hi all,

am now grumpy too, cos I still haven't found out about DD's school place yet. Was supposed to know by Monday. Am getting nervous and panicy for no reason about it

BBBee · 21/03/2008 10:00

toot were your buns?

BBBee · 21/03/2008 10:01

how were your buns.
