For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Dcs had eggy bread / scrambled egg.

3 months late?

UnderRated · 21/03/2008 23:25

Yeah, 3 months. Is crap.

I assumed your whole family were vegan so I wondered why you had eggs. I have to go and blow some later. Is probably easier to do when DS is in bed. Then he can paint the shells on Sunday.

TooTicky · 21/03/2008 23:25

I'm going to take my toes to bed. Good night

UnderRated · 21/03/2008 23:27

Goodnight Toots. I'm off to decorate cookies

UnderRated · 22/03/2008 02:38

If anyone's feeling nosey, I just put a pic of DS on my profile

FrannyandZooey · 22/03/2008 07:56

ah what a darling UR! He looks so perky and bright
fridge looks nice too

blowing eggs is VILE TooT you are very brave. I can't bear the insides of eggs even though I like to eat them I must admit. I have to kind of avert my eyes and have thrown out many a fried egg that dp has made because it was too gloppy

Avi and others - no not a motorbike LOL! A pedal bike. We have about 4 already I believe (hard to keep track) with various accoutrements such as trailer, tagalong etc. Dp can buy bikes cheap from the bike to work scheme so we do have some very beautiful bikes such as this one but he wants to get ANOTHER one this year (despite having a conversation yesterday about we are not going to be having a holiday or have so much money at Christmas etc), because the Pashley is MINE and he can't use it because I will be using it.

Me explaining that I am nearly 6 months pg and am not going to be riding any bike at all quite shortly and then will have a baby and I don't DO babies on bikes, especially not with ds who will be 5 and not able to ride his own bike on the road, so will need to be on tagalong or similar.....he (dp)insists I will need a bike and that he (dp) will be stuck on a crappy one. And so it went round and round and round. We eventually got to the point where he was admitting that perhaps he just WANTED one and we didn't actually NEED one. So we can actually have a sensible conversation about that, at least. But not last night as was falling asleep.

Raspberries, strawberries, black grapes, raisins, bananas. God the fruit at the market was cheap yesterday. My fridge looks a bit like UnderRated's.

Anyone heard from MrsC?

I'll go to start a new thread with Plums theme....
