Sending speedy panel vibes Hope you can have some lovely visits with Steve while you're waiting. Has he settled down a bit at the hospice, even though he would love to be home?

onlyjoking9329 · 05/03/2008 21:05

thanks tiggs, my PC is playing up badly it is working at the moment but i know it will go again soon

onlyjoking9329 · 05/03/2008 21:11

had a lovely vist with steve today his bed is just big enough for two of us.
i took steve to the loo and when we got back i sat him in his chair whilst i made his bed i found one of his tablets in his bed, have told the staff as he was doing this at home.

lucyellensmum · 05/03/2008 21:37

thats lovely that you could snuggle up OJ. I hope things get sorted out really soon for you - if you have any trouble, let us all know and we will come and sit in on the meeting.

We = all of mumsnet

Best wishes again

moodlumthehoodlum · 05/03/2008 21:49

OJ - find out who's on the panel, and the MN collective shall go and picket outside their office drinking rum and coke and protesting until they give in and bring their meeting forward.

Glad you had a nice evening with Steve.

39andcounting · 05/03/2008 21:53

We are the Borg, you will be assimilated, resistance is futile............

NorthernLurker · 05/03/2008 22:28

That panel thing is utterly awful. Do you know who your MP is? E-mail them with a brief account of the circumstances and your mobile number. I'm sure they will get in touch - and they maybe able to help.

bossybritches · 05/03/2008 22:41

PMSL laughing at the MN collective.....nothing shall sway us eh???

Great idea!

GillianMcPoo · 05/03/2008 22:43

PhD, you think OJ may be in need of a woman??! For what purpose?

(It's ShinyHappy btw.. gawd I'm getting tired of saying that; I might as well still be she..)

Buda · 06/03/2008 06:29

Glad I have found this OJ - was wondering how you are both doing.

onlyjoking9329 · 06/03/2008 07:57

my mission today is to speak to the social worker again, yesterdays conversation was very rushed as she was on her way to a meeting and I was off to school.
getting the mp involved will come later if needed, it is very handy that our MP lives two doors up and is well aware of our situation and I am sure she would love to
kick arse help.

39andcounting · 06/03/2008 08:02

Morning OJ, good luck today are you back on line or still on phone ?

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 08:06

That's handy about the MP! Hope things go well today

WingsofanAngel · 06/03/2008 08:30

I hope you get to speak to SW today.

Glad you had a nice visit yesterday.

It's a shame MN can't make up the panel.

Have a good day.

LilRedWG · 06/03/2008 08:43

Any help needed OJ, just let us know - we'll be marching down Downing Street for you, Steve and the children!

Miaou · 06/03/2008 09:03

Good grief, you really don't need all the extra hassle just now, do you

Hope they can bring it forward. Glad you are getting some nice cuddles with Steve

onlyjoking9329 · 06/03/2008 09:13

i am worried that if they don't get things sorted soon steves mum will tell steve to leave the hospice and go to her house, she has already said she wants him home with her, his family still don't understand why he needs someone with him 24/7. if steve had to choose between staying in the hospice or going to his mums he would choose his mums, coming home isnt an option until care package is in place.

LilRedWG · 06/03/2008 09:23

Make sure the SW is awake of all this. It's a shame you can't insist on supervised visits for your darling MIL!

LilRedWG · 06/03/2008 09:28

...or even aware!

NorthernLurker · 06/03/2008 09:44

Could you ask the hospice doctor to have a word with mil - I know she's closed her ears to everything said really - but the doctor might be able to get through?
