For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have just searched for you and got somebody in Florida. Are you somebody else on there? I am predictably TooTicky.

Yes, not baaad. Actually he is raising ghosts of raising small children. He doesn't do anything dh tells him to, and runs off at the park and generally ignores him. And dh is annoyed and refusing to take him to the park. And I keep saying 'No, you must make AN EFFORT if you want the REWARD.'

Would ye joust? Have thee a knitted steed?

Let battle commence at dawn then.

ahundredtimes · 02/03/2008 23:25

Who is fighting TooT?

Boco and I are going to have a war of witty words. It will be pithy and probably quite camp. We'll be the Wilde and Whistler of the 10/10 thread.

Actually, let's not. The idea is making my nose ache.

I'd like to laze about and watch you and Avi charge each other with knitted lances though, if that were at all on offer? [hopeful]

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 08:43

no I wasn't in any of them, they were way pre-me
not that I usually say sensible things such as might appear in a book anyway, not on PROPER topics at least

if there was one on how to proposition someone and amusing your child with baskets then I could be in it

you know the emails where there is a theme? like surviving the summer holidays or how to do mothers day properly? They are like that, but in book form. You have headings, eg "car journeys" - someone saying "do this" and someone saying "do that" and then someone making funny joke. Well the other ones are like that anyway.

anyway, good morning. Who are we being today? Woolly jousters?

oh well, I've had some tips 'published' then.

IdrisTheDragon · 03/03/2008 08:55

Fruit salad.

Fruit and nut chocolate

I am still stressed re childcare problems.

I have got both the first two mumsnet books. Have passed them on to pregnant SIL. Don't remember either book going off into some weird amount of knitting or jousting knights or anything.

Am at work. DH was doing work last night until after 2am for DH.

It is sunny. I have lots of meetings today.

filthymindedvixen · 03/03/2008 08:55

I am contemplating getting my sorry arse up and out to the Turksih Baths. It is snowing outside...

IdrisTheDragon · 03/03/2008 08:56

I dreamt it had snowed. It hadn't.

hello FMV

TigerFeet · 03/03/2008 09:46

Morning

You appear to have knitted a yurt.

Will eat F&V forthwith and resist urges to turn the yurt into a bordello.

filthymindedvixen · 03/03/2008 09:57

I have knitted nowt!
I am not a knitter.

Will someone please tell me to piss off here and go to the Turkish Baths. (it is a brisk half hour walk away and it is very cold but the rewards in terms of well being and feel-good are immeasurable. And then I can reward my new pure self with hot chocolate and cream....)

Boco seemed to be looking for a fight so I thought I'd oblige and she scarpered

Fmv, snow?
And I advise you to reconsider on the child-borrowing front. Ds1 would get on admirably with your boys and dd1 would start many a shrill argument boss them agreeably and keep them in order. I'm sure you would have an enjoyable month week weekend afternoon.

I have eaten a piece of apple and 3/4 of a mandarin.

Who is Whistler? [dunce] I am related to Wilde.

Boco · 03/03/2008 10:38

I wasn't looking for a fight, I was defending myself from the barbs of Sir Aviatrix.
