For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

(you might not know i was saying that to you yet lapin, as you may have not read it)

Well Gillian, I tool last weeks criticism pretty hard, must admit, some of my raw artistic genius has been battered and fell off.

GillianMcPoo · 03/03/2008 18:09

Really Boco? really really?? I thought you were laughing!! [tentative smile]

Didn't mean to offend.. especially since I have no place here! (I have eaten one cherry tomato today.. and the "vegetable extracts" contained in my diet coke!! )

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:13

were trades descriptions after you under your other name Sniny?

OP posts:
GillianMcPoo · 03/03/2008 18:15

No. There were just too many Shinies. I think I might have been the original one but alas people kept thinking I was ShinyDyson or she was me.. and there is Shiny1 and even ShinyHappyMummy... so I gave up.

REM have not sued me yet.. and it's a bit late now

Boco · 03/03/2008 18:16

No just a trail of broken hearted artistes Franny. [broken]

I mean desperate?
and also deranged?

GillianMcPoo · 03/03/2008 18:19

YOU are not D&D Boco.. just your title.. that particular one.. it just didn't, well.. flow... and it was a bit.. well... crap.. (Is that worse?)

[grabs coat and leaves fast]

anorak · 03/03/2008 18:20

How exciting!

It's a bit like having a streaker run through your cricket field or something

A naughty person rampaging through 10/10, in disguise as mn bod.

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:21

see you shiny
we'll be sure and run our titles past you next time

OP posts:
GillianMcPoo · 03/03/2008 18:22

If course you mustn't. I'm more than happy to be ignored. People usually do!

I just usually find the titles witty that's all..

Poor Whistler.

[whistles casually and happily]

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:24

you know I am having a week of cunting f+v
not just mangoes, I had a cunting avocado and even a cunting pineapple

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 18:26

I don't think it's possible to whistle casually actually is it? Your mouth needs to be firm and round, not even slightly slack. Though I suppose if you whistled in a casual manner with your hands in your pockets or something?

Anyway, sew the yurt door up. I think we should make LL stay.

Boco · 03/03/2008 18:28

Hmph. You're just whistling because you didn't get quoted by the Steiner people.

God quinoa and spinach sounds bad.

Having stir fry in a minute with lots of vegetables.

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:40

god MN is full of fucking fruit loop threads today
ooh I am tired

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 18:44

Oh yes, sorry, the tiredness.

Right.

Poor you. Put your feet up. How tired are you exactly?

ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 18:47

Puts on kettle, plumps up cushions. And erm, puts DS to bed? Oh and runs a bath.

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:47

oh no ignore me
I am the kind of tired where you get great pleasure from sitting around going "OOOH I am TIRED"
knowing full well you have fuck all to do for the rest of the day

feet are up
tbh if I am on MN you can pretty much assume feet are up

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:47

dp is doing the bed thing
a bath is definitely in order
but first I must eat gnocchi (dp doing it when he comes down)

OP posts:
Boco · 03/03/2008 18:51

Oh look, Olivia the journo got deleted.

I wonder if she's quaking and wondering what the hell possessed her to think about writing about mn. Deranged and desperate, all of them / us.

ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 18:55

You need to leave the deranged and desperate now. You are beginning to sound a bit, well, erm.

Actually I'll tell you who is DD. DS1 he has a music exam tomorrow. Honestly, you'd think his life hung in the balance over it. DH and I keep waving our hands in the air and saying 'it'll be fine, honestly' and 'we don't care' but these aren't the right things to say. I think I'm meant to be up until midnight with furrowed brow with him perhaps?

FrannyandZooey · 03/03/2008 18:57

oh dear music exams are scary
not only are you being tested but you have to perform
very nasty combination of events - bad for the nerves

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 18:59

Oh dear, really? I never did anything like that. [alternative education emoticon]

Poor him. He says he has a mouth ulcer, he told the music teacher this, and she said to him 'I have heard of people being nervous before, but never of anyone getting a mouth ulcer.'

lol.

He's quite proud about that fact.

filthymindedvixen · 03/03/2008 19:01

I passed grade 4 trumpet once...

ahundredtimes · 03/03/2008 19:02

Oh FGS. He has just said to dh 'thank you for help during this exam time and everything Dad' and he's polishing his glasses. DH bowed and said 'thank you very much.'

lol.

I am not being thanked I notice. That is because I don't understand what they are talking about and I just keep saying 'oh just do your best, it'll be fine and if it isn't, then who cares?'
