For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I saw that too. Good for MN. Though I don't understand how the books work? Are they like the Collective Wisdom of Mn on themes? What if the advice is all contrary? What if they have a book about healthy eating and it's all bordellos and everyone getting into bed together? I don't envy MP, she's got her work cut out.

Boco · 02/03/2008 22:39

No, I don't see how that'd work. So, a book on nutrition would start with some good recommendations and then deteriorate into class war, branch off into a discussion about cardigans, climax in a bit of role play about medieval knights.

Actually when you put it like that, it sounds a much better book.

Perhaps it's just recipes and face creams?

Who knows.

MP's round up is always about sex isn't it? Have you noticed that? I reckon five out of the six books will be about sex.

I was in the talk roundup describing the time i exposed myself to my fil by accident when breastfeeding and he shouted WAHHAAAY!

ahundredtimes · 02/03/2008 22:48

Yes, I have graced the pages a couple of times. [competitive] I had a very unfunny thing about the mouse a couple of weeks ago. Dead pan doesn't work in the Round up.

TooTicky · 02/03/2008 22:49

I'll never make the round up. I'm far too dull.

Boco · 02/03/2008 22:50

I once had a comment about dairylea dunkers [even more competitive]

But not been in it for ages actually. I must be losing my touch. [crisis]

Boco · 02/03/2008 22:50

Not dull Toots. Very not.

Boco, come and sit with me and Avi.
Avi and I.

TooTicky · 02/03/2008 22:52

Not that you are dull of course.
And neither are you Avi.

Avi, will you be my friend on Ravelry?

Boco · 02/03/2008 22:54

Are you two playing that Medieval role play game again?

They are knitting tabards. Boco and I are smiling tightly and pretending not to remember the number of times we've been in the round up.

It is fairly humming in the yurt tonight.

What are mumsknitters?

I only know one person on Ravelry. I haven't really got to grips with the site.
