Turn around stir fries, every now and then I feel a part (of a mango)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ooh VERY GOOD title!!

Boco · 19/02/2008 11:59

Yes, very good title [preen]

Hello, why has Zippi gone? Is that very sudden? It won't be right without her Oh dear.

Had my picture taken for the paper today, outside the school with children in tabbards, was freezing fog. That art club thing, except the head has lost all the work I did!!

And I just got my invitation for the evening reception for the exhibition! I'm so excited! I'm using so many exclamation marks! Can I tell you about it?
guests include Jacqueline wilson and jeanne willis on the spot caricatures from Korky paul, and exhibition of framed and original artwork from quentin blake, jane ray, and ME! Canapes and wine!

What shall I wear?
Do you think i can take a friend - it doesn't say.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 19/02/2008 12:04

I was actually thinking that maybe the titles are starting to get a bit deranged and... well.. desperate; no offence intended obviously.. .. but that's probably just me..

Hope Zippi's ok! Sorry for gate crashing. I have no place here. I can't do 10/10. Sometimes something approaching it, but not that many.

Boco · 19/02/2008 12:15

deranged and desperate!

How very dare you!

deranged? and....desperate?

Somebody put this shiny person in the pit! At once! And someone else unleash the cunting mangoes!

FrannyandZooey · 19/02/2008 13:14

LOLOL "deranged and desperate"
LOLOL "starting to get"

you have done us all proud Boco

I am doing fairly poorly today on the F&V front

leek and potato soup for lunch, plain muesli with rice milk for breakfast

no fresh fruit or veg

sparklyfairypie · 19/02/2008 13:22

Im so pleasently surpised!!!!! I have real trouble eating veg. On good days I will make an effort and try my best but if Im honest its mainly fruit I eat.

I have been getting so many colds recently and I have low iron so I wanted to try and do something about it.

This morning I have made soup with - potato, carrot and broccoli and vegetable stock cube. I thought it would be yuck but was going to make myself eat it, but my goodness its delish!!!!!! Im so happy I am LIKING vegetables :D

Hope your all doing ok x

MrsCarrot · 19/02/2008 13:26

You know what deranged desperate people do though don't you? They eat shiny happy people and count them as a portion.

Zippi - it won't be the same without your funny, wise posts. Hope you have a good break though.

TooTicky · 19/02/2008 14:05

Oh poo, has Zippi gone?

Boco, that sounds so exciting!!!

Have eaten massive stirfry and shared oranges with dcs.

littlerach · 19/02/2008 14:12

Boco, that sounds great.
Um, pineapple juice and that'sit
Oh, and osem raisins in the hot cross bun I had for lunch.

I have my new dyson. It was fun at their HO. The gilrs were given choc brownies and apple juice and were looked after whilt I looked at dustmites. Which were yucky!

I still need a fool proof carrot cake recipe (hopeful emoticon)?

ahundredtimes · 19/02/2008 14:14

Oh no, sad about Zippi. I like Zippi very much. I hope she comes back soon.

God I was in a bad mood this morning. I had a terrible row with ds1, about nothing really, except for the fact he was rocking back on his chair and saying to me 'You are really quite disorganised aren't you?' and I flew off the handle at him and then we had a barney about how he was planning on transporting his 7600 Pokemon cards to the swimming pool and then to his friends house. We went on and on at each other .

We made up and now he and ds2 have gone swimming with friends, and dd is at her friends, and I'm feeling guilty and trying to remember why I got so cross. Do you think he'll understand if I explain the phases of the moon to him? Hmm? Oh dear.

Boco, that sounds most exciting. Can we plan what you are going to wear? I think you should wear a smock and a beret and possibly a moustache. It'll be good fun won't it?

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 19/02/2008 14:34

I wouldn't count this shiny happy person as a portion of anything good I'm afraid MrsCarrot!!
